This would actually interest me as it would make the likely 800+ BHP more useable and offer a 4 wheel drive solution when driving in poor conditions making the car a better daily driver.

Not perse a 4wd solution as I know that's a dirty word around here. A system that adds traction and power when it is needed. I'm sure there are clever ways to integrate such a system. The cuurent F12 has enough traction problems already. I fear for the F12M let alone the next generation. There simply is a limit to how much usable power vs traction you have on a rwd system in less then perfect track conditions.

Even if it's not accurate (or is it?) I think it's a nice effort, so worth posting. As I said before, the fender+side matches some of what we've known IMO.

Well as long as he's not trying to tell the world he's also an official test driver for the F12M now...

 

For me the F12B is better looking in all ways. Half F12B and GTC Lusso, pointless or a safe design to please both owners.

I say good on him for considering what it may look like. For me the TDF is the ultimate in looks and performance for the V12 and doubt it can be better plus its limited. So will always be an investment car. Cannot understand why Ferrari would want to change the F12B as it perfect as a GT car. I feel Ferrari are heading the Porsche direction to sell lots of units which I think is bad for Ferrari.

 

If Ferrari didn't change anything because we thought it was the best, we'd be driving the cars from the 50's.

Before the car is out and tested, nobody can say that the F12B or TdF is better. They are certainly not perfect - no car is.

 

Without progress everything stops. Change is always needed and thus good. Without it there is no life.
So yes, Ferrari's will continue to evolve. Not only because we want, but because it is needed. I doubt they will release a car that will be less desirable then the previous version.

To me, every recent Ferrari looks so much better in real life then on pictures. You simply can't appreciate the different shapes and curves on a flat picture versus real life 3d.

 

Change in and of itself is not inherently good. Change for the sake of change usually goes in the negative direction. Changes to improve and evolve with a clear goal/direction like performance has a far better chance of having history reflect kindly on in in the future. I'm sure the change you speak of is the latter. I only hope a sensory overload category is seriously looked at along with performance in the years to come. At some point performance will overpower the end user and actually lead to decrease enjoyment (i.e. an actual F1 car on the road vs. TDF; one is far superior in performance but the level is so high that it most likely will be the drivers last ride.)

 

Completely agree with you pictures don't give any credit to the nuances of the shape and the curves and each paint color changes those perceptions. A Ferrari aesthetics can only be correctly evaluated alive.

What I am trying to say is the f12B as GT, TDF the limited special light weight. End of F12 model run.

If a new improved engine, styling etc then should be a new model not divert of the F12 model, so called F12M.

Like they did with 360, 430, 458 models.

Wants wrong is bring out the TDF limited light weight with higher performance of the F12. end of F12 production like they have in the past.

If I would be TDF owner I would not be happy if Ferrari decide to make the F12M more powerful, lighter and limited run.

Ferrari do not need to release a variant of the F12, should be a complete new model.
Porsche do this and it becomes to commercial for the mark Ferrari is.

Why the F12M no need the F12B is as powerful then the new lambo as its 730 bhp.

What Ferrari need to do is bring out a rear engine V12 like the Tessa was. I love driving my Tessa as much as the F12 in different ways.

If that truly is close then it doesn't differentiate itself enough from the F12B to make me lust after the new model.

I don't care at all for more horsepower or 4-wheel steering...my F12B is plenty fast enough for me.

We shall see soon....

 

The use of the word "Modificato" in marketing terms implies that Ferrari engineers and designers will have to introduce modifications that justify using it. I completely agree with you that the questions is do the changes or new features will differentiate the F12 M enough to make the new model a surprise and a really better car ? The pole is already so high that the task is a very hard one but Ferrari has surprised us before so as you say we will find out soon……..

 

Getting out of a Mac in to my F12 and the steering is awful, too light and no connection. That is one improvement to make - I see Chris Harris agrees.

Just saw the F12M,

Wow! What a car! Definitely a very big step up from the TDF.

Amazing work done by Ferrari, especially in interior styling, however also the exterior is completely different.

Tip my hat to Ferrari for doing such an amazing vehicle by starting from already a solid base.
