Two weeks delay for super bowl: Time for more hype Gotta put the pro bowl somewhere. Few watch it now. Nobody would after the super bowl.
Has there been any hype? I think it's more or less been dead. Paul - any hype up in Bean Town? Anyone here from Atlanta? Maybe it's because everyone is bummed out about the Cowboys, but I've not seen any coverage of the SB. In fairness, I've not gone out of my way to seek it out. T
Hype?! Hype?! The hype has been up the wahzoo here in Boston. We have two local sports talk radio stations and two local TV sports stations. They've all sent their hosts down to Houston. One crew did it in a bus where they left last week and made stops in various cities, including Atlanta. Yea, I don't ever recall an Atlanta fan chiming in here. Maybe someone will show up now that their team is in the big game. You do know the Boys showed up second to the Pats as the most hated team in that poll Phil posted. However, the polls also had Hillary winning the election!
On behalf of all Patriots fans I would like to thank Kyle Shanahan for the careless handling of the Atlanta game plan. However, both Belichick and Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia found it "rather uninspired". And that trick play where Freeman laterals to Coleman and then laterals back to Ryan for a pass, takes way too much time. Rob Ninkovich already has the sack lined up. Don't even try to run it. BTW, we returned the 4 SB tickets, those seats sucked! (just having fun, stirring the pot because Tom has been too quiet)
might be the lowest TV ratings SB in the modern era, although I'm certain millions of sophisticated fans will want to hear what that receiver with the NY Giants will have to say.

you got it Tom. As we mentioned in previous posts, it's all about "personality". They signed OBJ to provide "insight and analysis" for the SB broadcast. I mean, when you have 55 hours of airtime to fill, programming quality is bound to suffer.
I plan on listening to the radio feed. Probably the Pats, since their guys tend to get pretty animated, win or lose. I will only turn on the TV to see the look on Goodell's face if he has to hand over the Lombardi to the Pats brass! If Atlanta wins, I will console myself with YouTube videos of the national anthem and half time show if there seems to be enough positive buzz. I am definitely not listening to OBJ drone on about his insight and analysis...T
Tom, I noticed throughout the year that you would say you listened to the radio broadcast and I would think well maybe you don't have cable and can't watch it on TV. I guess sometimes you prefer not to watch. Sometimes I will mute the TV and listen to the local radio guys, but once in a while I don't because the TV is on a 2-3 second delay. And I'm with you on OBJ "insight and analysis". Puuhleeeze.
I have the NFL Mobile app and paid for the radio access. Since I do not have Verizon, I can stream only audio during the game, but I prefer radio, as I can usually putter around, and do other things while the game is on. For prime time games, NFL allows access to national radio broadcasts, but the locals are better in my opinion. More entertaining...T
Season's over. Shouldn't he be on his honeymoon with the kicking net?!? I hear there are nice boats that he can rent in Miami. T
I get the radio thing. All my years as a Phillies fan, I would always listen to Harry Kalas and Richie Ashburn on the radio. ON TV Phillie games, I'd switch back and forth. I get the Eagles on DirecTV and ALWAYS watch with the sound off.
