It's my jealousy coming out. :) RHD is always a smaller portion of the worldwide allocation and I've always maintained that lower upkeep costs allow prices to rise.

    Thats a strong number.

I am just happy if I am able to drive my car and sell it at the price I bought it.

But I firmly believe, unless ferrari will build another manual for the masses, even if we dont want it or doubt it, a a manual 360 will slowly climb up in value. I am talking about 5-10 years from now.

As long as in 5-10 years there's no provision to only allow autonomous cars to be driven on public roads. Driverless Car or per se Driverless appliance generation is upon us. :(

Looks like in the near future folks will be more concerned about being able to post in social media and check videos while in the car / appliance over driving. : |

I hope so but looks like their more interested in making all Ferraris hybrid by 2019. I don't think we can slap-on a manual transmission to hybrids. Can we?

As long as Ferrari wants the 2-3 second MPH car, no hope for a manual.

At least good news to gated owners value appreciation-wise. :)

Their probably aiming more towards the mid 1s eventually, than 2-3 seconds.

The world record for the fastest 0-60 mph "car" is 1.513 seconds. There's no way somebody can shift fast enough in a manual transmission to meet this record, even after drinking a gallon of coffee...

Timing is the key. If all gated owners list their cars at the same time, it would be difficult to sell at a premium. If there is only a few at a time, you can get that max amount.

If people start seeing cars selling 140,150,160,,,, you will see the market will get flooded with these gated 360. There are still too many gated 360 produced, but if it is kept, there would be a demand for it.

Not bad for a mass produced ferrari. That will tell you how strong it is.

So retail or asking would be 140-145. Selling then 130-135.

from the conversations ive had id say add 5k to 10K to all those numbers for where it wld go with a serious seller, but yes that's the ballpark

If whole sale is 95, dealers would not add 5-10 in top of it. But for private sellers, that is possible.

My observation is they add 20-40 on top to give them space to move and hold it as much as possible.

Im not doubting you, Im just saying Fdealers would not sell a car with a 5-10 profit, or maybe they will. But they will do everything to squeeze a few cents into it and maybe add the cost of their food stamps if they can to stretch their profit.

Totally agree. But the first price they throw out is their price discovery bid, by design.

And tell me something, have you ever attended a live auction? Do you agree with me that when the car is sold at way above market prices is because some bidders got into an ego driven bidding war??

And it's mid winter so prices will be slightly depressed. But yes, a low miles stick will be 125k+

Looks like combustion engine have a fighting chance with electric cars on 0-60 mark.

Don't want to hijack this thread even more, back to your regular channel.

Wow I never thought I'd start a 4 page thread. I see the gated discussion creeped in and that's okay. Another way to spin this is to ask would F1 360s be worth more if they weren't so expensive to maintain because frankly that is what's driving me to maybe sell mine. I certainly knew this going in but with kids in college it becomes more difficult to write 5k maintenance checks.

Typically cars costs 2% to 3% of new cost in maintenance per year. This car is pretty typical in that way.

I didn't sell my F1 because it was expensive to maintain. I did spend several thousand on the F1 system over a 2 year period though. I sold it because it's no fun to drive an F1 in the city, it left me stranded on the side of the road several times and there were times I'd get stuck in traffic waiting for it to cool down and start shifting again. It's not fun blocking traffic in a shiny red Ferrari.

Same reason why I converted the system of my 360 F1 back to gated.

Got me stuck twice in the middle of the read twice in three months. Not fun.

Not to hijack the thread but WOW. Can you guys elaborate on the issues? I am on the fence between this and a f430 or 308 gtb. All very different cars I know.
    Love F cars.
