I'd love to give you an answer. But unfortunately I do not have the good fortune to be among those invited to the private presentation. I'm waiting like everyone else.

Electric steering rack. That's a first and I expect many of the reviews are going to focus on this.

But it is strange that it is not written anywhere. Usually the name is combined with the slogan on the panels... Instead only contains the phrase "shift to the 12th dimension".

I'm italian, but what does it mean "to shift". Is a reference to the name, the 12-cylinder engine but.. I don't understand in what sense: change? choose? move to?

I don't think so at this stage. When I was at the tdf presentation, no mention of the name and so I don't expect it until Geneva or very close to it.

'Shift' is an odd one, I grant you and I interpret it as being 'move'.....

I think the are meaning that this is ultimate V12 in the universe. As the 12th Dimension is the last dimension we know so far exist in universe. it's described like the first thought ever made by a intelligent creation.
So I think the are going the same marketing line as "Ferrari of the Ferraris" or "Red of the Reds"...

So what? A tuned GTR or others similar tuned cars probably have better performance. So what? A ferrari is a ferrari and no other car manufacturer can achieve the same feeling. The myth is alive.

    I currently own a GTR with 1800hp. 0-300km in 10 sec.
Still I like the F12b more. Numbers do not make the car; It's the full package.
Besides, the F12 was never meant to be the fastest car on the planet. You can achieve that performance at a fraction of the cost.
It's about how the car makes you feel.

My friend, the word ''marketing'' back in time when Enzo Ferrari started this brand was unknown. The myth of Ferrari is not a result of the last ten, fifteen or even more years. The myth is created in racing, in Italian tradition, in styling, in all that you can only understand as marketing. Every ferrari to my eyes is a piece of art. And that is something that nobody taught me. My opinion and of course I respect yours

    dont shoot the messanger.

nice to have some performance context. sure only a few here would rather have the McL over the 12th dimension.

We agree entirely I suspect, my only observation is that the mid engined Ferrari where there is of course more competition than V12 front will always be popular due to brand power and mystique. I have a 488 and had a 675LT Spifer, latter was hands down better in all ways, the 720 is even better so F has a big job on its hands.

It will always be hard to get people to "change teams" and the competitor may need to be 25% better - it now is..........

McLaren is hardly unknown- it has a motor sport pedigree in global success terms that is similar.

I'm quite curious about the Nissan GTR 1800hp so if you don't mind me asking. Is it mainly for drag race or can also be used as a road car like the F12 ?
