    ReyF, may I ask you if the pictures you have posted are from #274 ?

    Looks like it has been brought back to the original Salmon Metallic (as per Ryan's registry), can you confirm?
    From the picture the shade seems more like Copper (and I would like to understand having myself a PTS Copper Metallic that I need to bring back from a Black re-paint in the '80s).

    Today we did a start-up inspection of my newly acquired MY75 with a top Italian expert (930 MY75 owner himself as well) and we defined how to proceed with the big job ahead.

    One interesting detail we just discovered: the back axle rims are not the 930 originals but are a rare pair of original 9x15 Fuchs produced in 1975!

    What do you think, it would be better to go for full originality (installing back the 8x15) or keep the period correct (and cool) upgrade of the 9x15 of RS/RSR flavor?

    You know they might be the original rims. On many cars when the Porsche factory ran out of the model specific parts Porsche would up grade the car to a higher spec if they had those parts available. I purchased new a late edition of a 1973 911T which had so many S parts the Dealer mechanic actually ask me if it was really a T or S. He should have known as it had CIS injection and all the S cars of that year had mechanical injection. So your rims may have come with the car?

    It is possible that 9 x 15's were installed on car when new - if it were me I'd hedge my bets and get a set of correct date 8 x 15's to have as well, not that much money in the grand scheme of a full on resto. Do you have any build info like a COA, kardex or window sticker.

    Get a set of 7J/8J x 15 as well during restoration, as Phil mentioned it is not much money in the scheme of a restoration. If your 930 was delivered from the factory with 9x15 as a special request (or as a production line change), it would have been listed on that card you posted earlier. Of course, the dealer could have possibly changed them out for the buyer.

    I have a '75 Turbo and would love to have '75 Fuchs wheels to it. Just in case you do not need them and want to bring originality to another car. I'm in Switzerland too. ;-)

    Does anyone know of any period photos (print/Web) of the interior of the 1973 Turbo prototype? I’m wondering if the tartan material was replaced when the car was converted to right-hand drive. The black watch tartan material on the car today differs from the 1975 production version in that it is a closer match to “Forbes” tartan.

    I'm not sure it is incorrect as it could be original but there is no way to confirm unless original period photos of the interior exist.

    Red turbo graphics look nice on black - I wonder if that is original?
