Agree. But 430 was also a mid-life - but was a big jump from 360. So I suppose all depends on the competitive environment they predict they're entering at the time.

UK is currently sold out I am told, indeed my dealer was planning on allocating them like an LE. Elsewhere I cannot vouch for, but I do know demand is off the charts. Just look at what happened with the F12 nad yet this car will probably have an even shorter production run.

I think it just sounds good to say sold out --- how can a non-le car be sold out? Have they sold every car until the end of its production cycle....to me, it's bollocks........maybe the 1st 12-18, or 24 months are pre-sold, but "sold-out".....

I can only tell you for sure what my dealer said based on past allocations of F12's he received, he has more orders for the M than cars he is expected to be allocated by the Factory.

Sorry, that's not bollocks, that's logic and a fact. I also hear that as far as the Factory is concerned they are 'almost' sold out. If you have some better contradictory facts rather than supposition, I am sure we would all would be interested to hear. The situation may well change but that is how it is right now.

Again, it is just a longer waiting list for a non ltd edition model. A dealer might have sold out his 2017-18 allocation.

As I said before Tim an 800bhp v12NA at £300k with a good spec is a total bargain. Let's hope Ferrari don't work it out. I am sure the market could stand a 25% rise no issues.

No, not correct. As regards the U.K., please read my post. My dealer, the largest in the U.K. whom I have been dealing with for 35 years has sold out his potential entire allocation for the currently planned production run. They have no 2017 allocation.

It is guaranteed to have price increase. The marketing is exceptional as always. The 'last of' stuff pretends to have significant investment value but I think many units will be flipped to gain favor for the one or two LE/VS versions to come. For example, most are saying they bought 488 to get a shot at 488 VS.

It's guess work for now, the dealer's don't know there exact allocation yet, but I suppose they can guessimate on previous allocations.
If I were you I would get you deposit down just in case, you can always get it back.

Where are you as chances are good you can get an allocation provided you are not in the UK, but as Wheels1 suggests, no harm in putting a deposit down?

Interesting read story about the design of the Lusso at Auto & Design:

    FERRARI GTC4LUSSO, A FORMULA RACER FOR FOUR - Auto&Design

Interesting because it discusses some of the philosophy behind the Lusso (identified as "F151M" on some sketches, BTW) which look to be carried over on the "F12M" including the "tuning fork" shape of the flanks ad the quad taillights.

Also interesting because on two of the pics you can see in the background the unmasked nose of what is surely the F12M styling buck, complete with predicted black grille surround, ramp over the middle of the front spoiler and strake or turning vane at the front corner! ;-)

First post but long time follower. Thanks to all that for providing the detail from the event and sketches of the new M. I bought my f12 about a year ago and absolutely love the car. Quick question to Traveller and others around allocations. Have you been able to put a deposit down or are you just being told that slots are full based on interest. I have a good relationship with my Dealer (was invited to the event but had a conflict :( ) and I have told them that I would like order the new one and they have said as soon as the configurable is up we will spec. Same for you guys or are the states doing it a bit differently. Thanks again for such an awesome forum.

I guess it is based on a 3 year production run and F12 availability per dealer carried through to the M. In Uk, it is close to being sold out in that sense. If you not a good customer, well known, you not going to see an M before 2020 from the 4 dealers I know of in UK. If at all.

Also , when FF was launched my dealer had sold 1 , the Lusso on launch 8 . Current demand on Lusso high too. people prefer the design over FF and understand the car better.

Ferrari seem to know their customer

Your scetches are always pieces of art Ingegnere. We'll know soon enough how close this is to the real thing. Or someone wants to spill the beans....

My dealer also, offered me an allocation for 2018 build. Said if I would pass it up, it would be 2020 soonest. So I jumped right on the 2018 option.

Who else is going to Geneve?

one thing be interesting know is the dimensions of the new f12 bigger or smaller. as the f12 was smaller than the 599

Letter of intent with my local dealer last July, who I bought my 599 from, waste of time!
Put a deposit down in November with the dealer I bought my F12 from.

At the moment its seems that the new F12 rear end is too close to the lusso in styling. For me i love that the F12B is different and so is the TDF from F12B.

If we are honest and take our "excited" glasses off it looks much like the F12. Tidied up the rear and GTC lights. Much prefer the TDF apart from the after thought boxes round exhaust tips.

Maybe will be mor dramatic in person.
