Close, but way too many details wrong. Bit of a lazy effort considering how much info is available from prototypes, Ferrari invite and pics of the front end of the styling bucks I posted.
Terrible profile in comparison to Ingenieres sketch, bland and inaccurate-rear looks better. Enough to make me cancel my order.
Clearly they are following tradition because they showed us the F12 in some freezing cold tent at Fiorano surrounded by snow
They actually have a lot of emotion and brand prestige in their 4 seat car, this is also why they like to see L/E candidates buying them......
My dealer saw the car today. "blown away" - yes he is my dealer ( for last 10 years) and obviously he is biased but very impressed with rear and side profile. Interesting as a few comments on the rear from others. To each his own. BTW: he also said it would be a "sell out"
Imagine the politicking schmoozing and jockeying already starting for the F12M LE ! This the depreciator and there is a bun fight !
Willing to take my chances. Have not been this excited about a car in a while. Will see it in Geneva in March "in person" oh and yes - i have ordered one
Its already started Following 488 logic i.e. no 488 Speciale if you don't have a 488 then assume this will be the same
The bar will be a lot higher, am sure will be big volume maybe 999, but 599GTO and/to TDF best starting point. They seem to have me mentally in the V8 LE bucket (two now) even though 75% of my cars have been V12. Frustrating ! Not that I am "complaining".
Absolutely-I think the competition this time round could be even fiercer but raising your profile is going to cost. And if it were an Aperta......
Seems like in our market while its not easy its probably less of an "ask" as less players with the required $'s. We shall see. One might as well try. I do like your "Outside the EU" tag - what a hoot
Oh oh! I can feel a whole alphabet of letters following the f12M launch for its eventual L/E - Possibly F12Mvsgtotdfaperta!!😂 The rear might need to be much wider - not for the aero but for the badge !
I got very worked up about missing out on Tdf allocation.I wrote to Sergio asking for one (Never got a reply.Luca would have replied even if just to say no.) I have ordered and deposited on F12M and my dealer tells me I will get one of the first they get. I now want F12M VS but you know what I have become completely relaxed. If I get one great !If I don't get one great !The market will change. It always does. I was offered a new 599 GTO from a dealer I had never dealt with before.Stupidly I passed on that allocation but that was only 5 years ago. Whether it is F12M VS or the 12 cylinder VS after that there will come a point when Ferrari need buyers. We all love the product which is why we are on this site.I genuinely don't care whether the cars I buy appreciate or depreciate in value.I have always assumed that a new car is a depreciating asset.
Attended the preview this afternoon - even after reading the feedback of others the reveal exceeded all my expectations (and the expectations of all in the room including the dealer reps). This is a very significant/substantial update, almost a new car from a design and engineering perspective vs the F12. Importantly the F12M looks amazing inside and out, and improves the performance benchmark yet again. Was told all new model not expected for another 4-5 years, with F12M VS expected 3-4 years from now. So I guess this update really needed to be substantial to cover this period. I confirmed my LOI and will be ordering as soon as orders can be received by the factory. Bring on Geneva!
That's great to hear such reassuring news especially about the aesthetics-thank you. Very interesting that no new model for4-5 years as that means 2022 which is late. I know my dealer was assuming a 3 year life or thereabouts so he will be pleased to hear he is possibly no longer sold out!
Between now and then there will be new Cali, 488VS, 488 replacement & Spider, Lusso replacement and F12M VS. So a lot to do in the next 5 yrs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds great. Interesting that Ferrari are already admitting there will be VS version. Times have changed since LdM claimed there would never be a Speciale because the regular 458 was so good they could not improve on it. Still miss him being in charge though !
2019 is the year of modular platform. So, I hope models evolve starting from FR 8 Cylinder only, then MID 8, then FR12, then MID12. So no Hybrid confirmed?
