In the January 2017 issue of Classic & Sports Car Magazine (with a maroon GT-40 on the cover,) on page 72, is a full page ad for 250GT0, #3387GT. The second GTO ever built, delivered new to Lugi Chinetti Motors where as a NART entry, it became the first 250GTO to race. Finishing 2nd overall, and 1st in class at the 12 hours of Sebring, driven by Phil Hill. In the same year, it finished 6th at LeMans. The ad is for Talacrest.com, in England. On page 192, in the same magazine, is another mention, & picture of this blue/white striped GTO, and it says the price is $55 million. Disclaimer: Not connected in any way with the magazine, or seller. As the page 192 article says, 250GTO's rarely come up for public sale. Perhaps someone can post some pictures of this Holy Grail, of the Ferrari world. This would be a GREAT time to win a big power ball!

Hoping Marcel will jump in here, a lot of the pictures on their website are his.
    This is one of his.
Cars like this is why the word "wicked" was invented.

If I owned it, I'd lean on the gas pedal, a lot! As the magazine article mentioned, most of the time the 250GTO's are traded privately, never coming on the open market.

To me: He stopped by the lake for a quick "pit stop". Just look at the waves.

    Indeed.

And some say people sometimes buy these cars to "compensate."

    Not this guy.

    The camera never lies.

I thought this car sold for like $55MM like a month ago? I've seen this car demoed at the Simeone Museum... nothing short of an erotic experience!! Saw the story about the sale on Fox News' website.

There is a "lead time" with all monthly publications, so it's possible the car has sold. "Saw the story on Fox News'" , when I watch Fox, it's like watching the Science Fiction Channel, lots of fantasy, and very little fact. Yikes!

Relax, Holmes. Someone posted a link for the story on another site. I apologize for not having the time to study the exact sale price of every vintage Ferrari sold.

The crazy thing is even if you won a 200M powerball you can't afford this car

I think it would cost over 2 million to register the car in NY state.
