Thanks to the Arizona Porsche Club for letting my run with you today. Much better car than I am a driver. Great day. Cannot wait to get more time on the track soon! YouTube video to follow.

Car was fantastic. I was worried that it would feel big and sloppy on the track. I thought it would tend to understeer because of the frontward placement of the engine. I was also concerned about being throttle happy and causing non linear oversteer. Damn was I wrong. Car was probably easier to drive on the track than on the street. The hulking power and linear acceleration made managing oversteer out of corners intuitive. The car was not at all prone to much understeer. Turn in was sharper than i'd of imagined and after a few laps I felt more and more comfortable braking later and later and getting on the throttle earlier at exit. If I were a better driver I could have easily pushed the car much harder. I would say I was 6-7/10 at max. In a word: Incredible

    Here's one of my laps:

Well, the car is still mid-engined, as the motor is placed behind the front axle. It just has the engine in front of the driver.

Note the use of the word "Frontward" instead of "Front".

It looks like you were doing a great job to me.
It takes some time to be able to trust the car when you brake, pressing the pedal as hard as you can, and letting the car sort the rest out takes some confidence, especially if you have been driving for 30 years, an learnt on an old school car like I did. God i'm old!

"Trust" is the correct word. I was often off the throttle early. I also was tending to turn in early. Time and patience.

Thank you for sharing. The video was made with the car inbuilt track cams and Ferrari telemetry ? I'm curious to find out because the F12 I bought and that I will receive soon has these equipments.

It's just an app on the iphone called Harry's Lap Timer.

I just used a suction cup mount and mounted the iphone to the inside of the windshield for video. The app measures, speed, g force, lap time, etc. you can download most any track.

Very nice, try to drive at the track in CT OFF or higher otherwise the ceramic discs wear is very high.

I was in Race but didn't feel 'the nannies' kick in...that I am aware of anyway...even coming out of corners a little side ways. I am still tentative to dial in CT Off. Maybe after a few more session...but hopefully before I need to replace the brakes.

    Thanks for the advice.

The nannies are very smooth in operation :) In ESC Off it's bites you when going wrong but I recall that even in this mode the E-diff is active and brakes the rear axel...

LOL...i'm hoping to just stay in the 'bark' zone. 'Bites' with the F12 could prove costly ;).

Very awesome. I'll be sure to introduce myself and would love to check out your car if I see you at one of the various events in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
