The dark wheels on your last image help a lot. Given the body has plenty of detail, those asymmetrical disney-esque wheels do the overall look no favors imo. Dark grey wheels provide great relief to me and allow my eyes to appreciate the side view much much more. Building on italiafan's post, have to agree that it doesn't appear feminine enough (for a Ferrari), but holding out for what I'm sure will be a better appreciation in the flesh.
812 Superfast: Most powerful ever 800 cv production engine A picture of the engine has been added to official site. Work of art
Totally agree. Here's an idea. Let's get tge press to rename it Daytona. They did this with the 365 GTB...I know it had a little something to do with 3 back to back wins there but wouldn't it be great to simply call it "Daytona". And I know I will be corrected here but didn't the original name superfast come at the last minute before a reveal? Maybe they couldn't settle on a name and grabbed it last minute. Love the profile/side view of the new car.
As always - Big GT Ferrari looks the best in Tour de France blue with bright rims and yellow calipers. Astonishing! Image Unavailable, Please Login
It must have been a last minute name. The 1964 Ferrari 500 Superfast it was named based on the fact that it was one of the fastest machines around at the time with a top speed of 280 Km/hour exactly the same as the 250 GTO/64.
As of now, I'm not a big fan of the overall design, especially from the front... but one thing I've learned over the years is that Ferrari design are often ahead of time so I'll wait before seeing more real picture and seeing it in real life. I used to "hate" the 599, 458 Speciale, F12, 488 and GT4Lusso when the first Ferrari pictures came out and now I love all of them. So yeah.. I won't be surprised the same thing happens with the 812 Superfast.. One thing I don't like it's the name. They could have come up with something better... in italian. Superfast, LaFerrari.. I hate it.
What about this steering wheel ? Looks cheapened to me with more plastic bits....perhaps it's the new shapes throwing me off ? I like the old interior better. I'm hoping the front grill cavalino is metal still ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome design imho.... the wheels are perfect .....the stance v classy..... I'm pretty sure my fave colour will be Giallo Tristrato- but the many hours I've spent since yesterday pointless till I see her in person in 10 days and see the actual impact in person , but loving the design. Would guess would particularly suit a glossy black roof with the light bright colours to accentuate the profile ...... your right - liking the avengers type marvel name .
