C is on my original, unrestored LP400S. No idea where the window cranks come from but the 400S has different cranks compared to the 5000S.

Any chance you could post some pictures of the 400S window cranks?

    Thanks!

Quick question - what did you do for the headliner on the Countach? Is it a special cloth or a part number (which I can't find in the part list)?

Anybody else who could chime in with this info it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

there are 2 different models, same as LP400.
a chrome one and a black one

i do not think in the S cars they had a VIN to split the cars with black and car with chromes
it looks more random than in LP400 to me

generally speaking is easier to find chromed in the early S and black in the late ones
i think almost all S2 and S3 had black ones

At RM Auctions couple weeks ago, a 30,000km Red/blk Anniversario sold for $189,000 all in ($170K @ hammer).

Having 3250km could make this a bargain, but it would need at least $100k of work. The interior is horrid...

How could anyone do this to a Countach?? This car deserves to be brought back to life again!
    Makes me want to cry.

It has a version of the blackout.

Meanwhile I'll leave others to comment on all the interesting details of this LP400.

This is an auction for a 1992 Viper. However, in the 6th photo there is a red Countach way in the back. Looks like it is having some kind of paint work done. Perhaps just on the passenger side. Perhaps a hit on the passenger side? Perhaps not. Just an FYI because chances are, and I maybe wrong, this car will pop up for sale in some form. Perhaps via their website. Perhaps via live auction. Regardless, be informed.

Based on mods to get 405 hp it shouldn't be to hard. You will need oversized valves, a good valve job, some port work on the exhaust, a mild clean up of the intake ports, an increase in compression, and some 38 mm chokes on the carbs. If needed I can give you a more specific requirements but I will need to run some calculations. The restriction points on this engine are the carbs, 38 mm is the largest practical choke for it. The exhaust port starts to have problems keeping up with the inlet. Finally the right angle turn where the air filter connects to the flex duct starts to become a restriction. I have not gotten around to testing the muffler yet, but I suspect it may also be a restriction.

Based on the 405 hp setup, 425 hp should be possible within the 7800 rpm red line and on pump gas.

    Cheers Jim
