Apparently has some Mugello pigmentation in it but is a metallic colour - a darker red when compared to Rosso Corsa Metallizzato that was introduced with 488GTB.

From the first time I saw it I never liked the F12 rear, and my opinion never changed, always thought the TDF was great, the 812 may take a bit of time to appreciate, but I think its an improvement over the jock strap..

Don't like it at all. The aero bridge in the F12 looks gorgeous. The air intake in this one behind the passenger door just looks wrong imo. The back looks like a corvette.

I can see the F12 become a timeless classic now even more

To me that looks stunning ! Giallo Tristrato with some trailer made accenting and silver/diamond cut alloys ( no stripes ) would look perfect -- I'd be most happy to take an early delivery. ;-)

I also look forward to see in the flesh. No doubt, it will be an engineering improvement over the F12B and I would likely order an 812 if I didn't have an F12. I do have concerns looking at these pictures, style wise, it just seems the powerful elegance has been changed to 'just' powerful; I may be wrong after seeing the 812 for real.

I believe the pics so far show that the shape seems to lend itself to Painted (airbrushed) large shields rather than the regular actually shields .... I'm a great fan on some of mine- a costly TM/atelier option but striking .

The more i look at that rear, the more i dislike it. So messy, so square. I am really curious to see it in person.

I do love the profile, esp the last 1/3.

Absolutely. There seems to be a lot of real estate on the 812 S for larger painted shields.

The rear does seem to be completely disconnected. No cohesion.

Agreed. Did that make sense about the grill surround treatment?

I quite vivedly remember the launch of the F12 and everyone shouted that the rear was horrible..... same story on the 812 now and everyone calls the F12' rear elegant. Times continue to change. New performance and regultions dictate a change in shapes and sizes.

Yes, but it was really horrible on renders. Only in person you can see that F12 has beautiful rounded ass and every single shape makes sense there :)
And I agree - in person and on the move 812 is going to look amazing 100%.

?? Many people still don't like the F12 rear end, some of them preferring the 812.

New rosso has been reported NOT metallic by several people also present in the first previews.

There might be small variations as per the new shape of f&r bumpers and fenders, but basic dimensions should be the same as it's same platform. Sorry I didn't check numbers yet but wheel base, track width, height etc. should be exactly the same.

812S is 39 mm longer, 29 mm wider and 3 mm higher compared to F12, according to Ferrari. Wheelbase is most probably the same but tracks might have been slightly increased.

Useful information. They increased dimensions, quite substantially.

Looked flat to me on close look but some chat that metallic. Baffling. Looked like RC. plus.

I must be the odd man out. I really like the deep red color, particularly in the side view illustration of the 812S.
