Does anyone have a picture of it? Warning: it doesn't look like a Bizzarrini GT5300 strada, it has many more near flat body panels and lacks the curves and grace of the Giugiaro-designed GT5300. Still, if it has a real chassis number, and there is a GT5300 unaccounted for, then conceivably it could be shortened back to its original wheelbase and rebodied as a GT5300 Strada. I did a Google search to no avail
I figure places like SA are perfect place to look for an exotic because there's a vast differance in income between say, diamond traders, and the general populence so once someone is done with an exotic, who do you sell the car to--and shipping costs from SA must be horrendous unless you have an airpline connection (pilot, etc.)

A little more like a Bizzarrini Europa or even Opel GT than the Strada. I don't think this one could even be rebodied as a two seater Strada, every line is different.

Did the South AFrican owner buy this straight from Giotto? I thought it was in a museum.
Who restored it? Diomante? The rear roofline looks like '64 Plymouth Barracuda or Ghia 230S fiat one off. Is it fiberglass or aluminum bodied?

Very interesting car, could you perhaps post a few more pictures of it?

Saw this car many, many years ago on Road & Track in the classified section. The car was located in South Africa even back then.
Cool looking car reminds me of a Maserati Indy.
