Will they fit? I think with a little work.

They appear to be the same as the F355 carbon seats except a different pattern on the inserts -and- the seat rails are set at a wider mounting point.

Will probably need to add new anchors to the lower shell to mount the F355 rails.

I could make fixed mounts and delete the sliders but think I would rather have the adjustability.

    :D

Yes it's an enduro tire. Funny thing is the bike had regular non dot dirt knobbies on it before and those were more stable on the street. (they just wore really fast)

Yeah I was limited to a 450 tire way back when and went through 1 a race. I believe they were brigstones. I'm talking the 1970s

    Had 2 cr-125, 1 wr250. The 125s one was a works bike. Stopped that in 1977

Anyway really ADD off topic LOL

I've always looked at the 550 seats as well. I think they'd fit with some modifications and look just as good if not better.

The stitching classes the interior up a bit.

I'd say it can be made to work. Shell shape is identical so that's a good start. You can always redrill new holes and place new threads on the bottom of the bucket.

Those look great. Is availability and pricing much better than 355 carbons?

I'm trying to find 2 carbon fiber racing seats for my 550 and did not find any ones.

Please preserve them and try to not do any change that is not reversible.

If consider sell them please contact me

Chris, I would say pricing and availability is similar to the 355 seats. Expensive and not easily found.

550 Barchetta- Thanks but not interested in selling them. Even if another set of mounting holes is necessary as Ken mentioned, it wouldn't prevent them from going back into a 550 but once installed they are staying there :)

    Just weighed them.

    30.6 lbs with sliders

    25.4 lbs without sliders.

It was posted here that stock seats are 54lbs without sliders so, a good weight loss though not quite as much as a one piece seat.

(Recaro lists their one piece Pole position in carbon fiber with mounts at 22lbs)

Thanks Jim... So stock GTB seats are 45 lbs each and the carbon ones are 25 lbs (both without sliders).

    Sweet. Good information.
