Of everyone who regularly writes/posts on the subject, who is the best? Most authoritative/most witty/best to read/whatever - views please? Written word, not video. Anywhere in the world. Thank you in advance for your thoughts

My vote for eloquence is Scuderiawithstickplease.

Otherwise it is Flash, because he has to contort himself into all types of impossible positions in order to write his views.

    LOL.

I don't think he's referring to Fchatters specifically, but if he is I would put Marcel or Ed Niles at the top of the list, for vintage cars at least.

NeuroB or scud with stick are both highly elegant to the point of bringing/moving me to tears at times. ;)

Joking aside, both our excellent writers/posters for different reasons.

I haven't seen a post by scud stick in while. Used to enjoy his video links. Where's he been?

    Thank you, everyone.

To clarify, I mean writer as in a writer, rather than a poster. Someone who regularly writes longform journalism, columns, or articles. Someone who combines Ferrari authority with the ability to write, demonstrated on a regular basis in blogs, magazine articles, or similar.

    Thanks.

With risk of patronizing you, Darius, methinks the answer might be Themaven.

Thank you Joe. But I'm looking for a writer who really knows what they are talking about! I am sure there are newsletters and magazines especially in the US that I am not aware of...

Old school, Ken Purdy for sure.

He wrote a number of articles for Playboy, and a great biography on Sterling Moss.

Frankly, I have not read anything exclusively on Ferraris or any other make in a very long time. I sometimes read about the problems people have with their cars on Ferrari Chat; but other than that, I'm not interested in reading other people's opinions.

The problem with Doug Demuro (and most journalism) is that he never approaches something from a fresh perspective. There is always unreasonable bias and some sort of unrelated angle being pushed. Half the time, the writer doesn't even include all the information about a car. Bloggers feel that their opinion about the car is more important than the facts.

Of course blogs are inherently personal and opinionated, but no one takes a diary seriously. "Jim sucks because he is with Stacy" is the same thing as "the La Ferrari sucks because it is a hybrid."

I think the best blogger isn't a specific person, but merely someone that is fair and let's the subject speak for itself.
