Yes but it can be difficult to get consistency with the colours which would be a problem if trim parts were anodised in different batches.

I have not seen it used outside of specialized performance areas. Only one place in the world where its done and they do it in batches. May take 6 months or more for a new batch. I had to trade my entire new suspension for ones that were already on the Island undergoing the process or it would have taken 7 months. Cost me about four thousand for two tubes and a rear shell body. I see now they have been doing bicycles. This is not plain anodizing. I cannot describe the feeling of running your hand down the metal with this coating. No sticktion whatsoever and so darn beautiful. Good luck getting the Atelier to find this stuff but no coating more beautiful: KASHIMA-COAT.COM What is KASHIMA COAT?

812 to feature very high pressure direct injection
It will generate 350 bar pressure!

That's pretty high. About 5,000 psi!

Is this going to be an issue in terms of leaks?

Tom the 456 is a great car and will fit perfectly in your garage. The other day was contemplating a grey one and the elegance, the charm and the manual gear-box make it irresistible.

    Great post-thank you.

Setting the 812 in context is very helpful and makes it seem a more natural and up to date evolution. At least in profile.

I did ask one of the design team at the preview. The concern was dismissed with a "non c'e problema"

While it is a big step from 200 bar on the F12, I am guessing they have reason to be confident.

Amazing. Thanks very much for the helpful info. The results look superb even if the costs are substantial. Will investigate further.

...I hafta say the rear end looks a bit like a whale opened his mouth and swallowed a shark.or a 308GTB hit the rear so hard the outer body enveloped the car it swallowed. Making me think that is the vertical slots on each sid., Really hate the smallness od the taillamp..

(about the test cars, the last one was a 308GTS,,,,a lifetime ago,...)

Funnily enough the 612 and the 812 have pretty similar profiles. Like if you unleashed a younger designer with a computer onto a 612:).

The criterium was from 500 Superfast to 812 Superfast GT's V12. I promise when I have time I'll do one with all the Gt's V12 until 1964.
