Let's see what others have done; I'm more curious to see what Whiting will do re the trick suspensions, if anything at all.

    Uh oh...

Hmmmm... no big stupid shark fin... no big stupid whatever those things are behind the front wheels...

I have this sick feeling they either figured something out that no one else has or they turned the big red knob up on the engine and just don't need any of the over the top aero treatments. That car looks clean and totally engineered to a perfection. I'll be super curious now to see what Red Bull puts out. If their car looks similar it'll be interesting to understand why they all know that no one else does. I'm almost afraid to see Ferrari's car at this point.

I almost don't even want to pay attention to any of this until the Aussie hits the calendar. It's all speculation and so much is going to change, but it's hard not to be worried at this point.

Well...italian journalist Leo Turrini has already seen it...here are his own words, from his blog:

....L'ho vista. E non mi piace.
    Ma se vince...

(I have seen it. and I don’t like it. But, should she win…)

Game over folks. hand them the WCC now. W08 looks outstanding, from the triple barge boards to flow conditioners just in front and above the barge boards, to the new innovative sidepod design, this car looks incredible.

Is it at all possible that Merc or the other teams are deliberately showing their cars modified from their actual spec? I mean... could Merc suddenly debut in Aus with a shark fin like everyone else or are they just like, "F-U... we know we're going to win everything so c'mon and steal whatever you think you can because it's not gonna matter anyhow."

Honestly if Merc dominates again like the last 3 seasons (most dominant ever), I think I'll take a 5 year break from F1. No point in continuing to watch the same car win every race.

They'll be testing a Dorsal fin, too.

But agree... the car looks really good.

The Merc's use of graphics is weird. Putting the AS from Petronas on the winglet is just bizarre.

    I'm not sure it works.

    These cars are so long!

Are they sure they will fit in their pit area, and will they fit in the garages?

Why are they so long? Do they now run driveshafts to get the power from the little engine to the transaxle.

Is the wheelbase and/or overall length indeed longer for this season? I thought they just looked longer.

Lowering the rear wing makes the cars look a ton better.

FIA need to ban silver/black schemes and make the teams devise original liveries for once.

yep and its adjustable telescopoly according to the article. It probably goes against the rules but its all for testing as we MIGHT see a sail/shark-fin come OZ day. Who knows as these guys are always pushing/testing the boundaries. Maybe its to throw the other teams off.

yup, alot of "aero" going on there. Your guess is as good as mine on the duct-pipes function. How about those air inlets; they're not as open as the other three teams I have seen????

Well, I think we now know where all the air tunnel time from last season went towards...

This car looks sooooo much more advanced / tricked out than any car that's been unveiled so far. Here's another shot of that duct-pipe feeding into / through the wishbone.

Looks like it's gonna be another cakewalk season...
