It would appear that all the cars are now going to be nice providers of tire puncturing shards upon impact LOL

I would have rather done the front half of tha macca orange and the rear black, split by a perfectly vertical line in the middle. Those randomly flowing lines dividing the colours really don't work for me.

Yep; I'm a bit disappointed by these over-complicated front wings...

Mclaren's livery is ****ing ugly. Spyker esque. Should've used WAY more (papaya) orange. Fools.

Mclaren sticking with the size Zero concept. I really like their sidepods. Will it work? Well they've been doing it since 2014 and hasn't worked since then so presumably, no.

I like it! The extra wing on the dorsal fin looks cool.

    Here's hoping it's fast. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but how much longer are the new cars? Is it due to the changes to wings, wheelbase, or both?

Also, it's worth noting again that the phallus front end needed to go away yesterday.

Hope I'm wrong, but Ferrari sidepod intakes look like they're different just to be different - to answer criticism of not being creative. When you go against what everyone else is doing, doesn't auger well - see 1992, 1994 and 1996.

Mercedes looks like they optimized on established design concepts and innovated on adavnced engineering (see front upright) and not just bodywork shape.

There's vanes in front of the sidepod, making it appear different than it actually is

I don't see the relevance, but won't object.

    So here it goes:

I'm willing to bet a case of beer that at the end of this year Hamilton will have more WDC points than Bottas. If that happens AND they are no longer team mates in 2018 then I win. If this happens AND they remain team mates for 2018 then the bet is off.

    Deal?

Ferrari had such a narrow optimum window last year with respect to temp and tires its difficult to see what they have done. Mercedes were strong everywhere and the press is saying they have alot more power in the new unit for this year.

Aero wise they had least amount of work to do, Mercedes, vs the rest and now they have a stronger PU supposedly needed to deal with the increased drag. If Red Bull are not already in front of the Ferrari by aero alone I will be surprised.

That being stated I actually Ferrari surprise all of us here and the entire paddock! In a good way of course.

I liked the fact that they copied the cans with the back suspension looking pretty high..looks like someone kicked tha car in the arse!! hope it works!!
AS for the car, let's face, it's not a pretty sight..but none of them are, the more they change the rules, the uglyer they get!!! Now hurry up and file that protest agains those ****ing front suspensions
although ugly, they are cool as scale models with all those wings, flaps and other sissy stuff going on:)
