WOW - even from this grainy vid I am liking the colour

 

I would like to see in the flesh this red to judge. it's amazing how hard it is to photograph or film the red. You will have also noticed yourself that the color red is implemented differently depending on the light and the lens type. It's a reflex, an iPhone, a mirrorless, the red is never reproduced as in reality. For the other colors this problem don't notice too much but the red is incredible. Many red in photos become strawberry, coral, lose brilliance, completely altering the effect.

 

All fair points but we will see it in Geneva under perfect lighting rather than in the wild. So might need to wait until its out in the open. However at first site on this video I am positive

 

I have to say it didn't do much for me under the Factory Atelier lighting, but then my car too looked somewhat odd. It might be better at the Show or one we will need to wait to see it on the road.

 

The color name is Rosso dei Rossi.
Together with the other 812 SF painted Grigio Caldo Opaco these two 812 SF will be shown at the Geneva International Motor Show this week (first press day today Monday 6th March 2017).

There will also be a California T in Bianco Italia, a GTC4 Lusso in Nero Stellato, a 488 Spider in Rosso Corsa, a 488 GTB in Giallo Tre Strati and a Tailor Made 488 GTB in Rosso Corsa with Blu Laguna and Giallo Modena livery. Of course all subject to last minute change.

I thought press days are 7th and 8th

 

Correct. Press Days start tomorrow 7th March. Public viewing starts Thursday 9th.

No. Several major manufacturers have their first press day today Monday 6th March 2017 afternoon already. Regular press days are Tuesday and Wednesday (7th and 8th March). Show opens for public Thursday 9th March.

They were obviously keen to keep that name Rosso dei Rossi a secret as the name that is printed on my Atelier configurator spec sheet for the "Special Color" was Rosso SettantAnni
PNTN SPECIAL COLOUR ROSSO SETTANTANNI

 

It seems Ferrari are running out of imagination. Where do they go after La Ferrari and Rosso dei Rossi!?

What about "Ferrarina" as the official name for the next V6 model?

 

Love what I'm seeing in the video as far as the shape! Like others are saying, I bet in person and in natural light, this will become a car easy to appreciate.

 

These short videos give me hope that the design can work.

Only the second 812 is missing from the photo. I remember when Pininfarina was designing the ferrari models, there was every new model that Ferrari presented in the show, at PF's stand in different color. It was a chance to see the new model in another color as in ferrari stand it was only one example.The last years ferrari is bringing two examples of each premier model.

 

There are two 812Superfast: grigio caldo opaco and rosso dei rossi as Mr. Massini said.
Every year they shows two different car configurations. Only in 2013 there was an only LaFerrari

 

First press day is always monday afternoon. You can see them preparing all the stands, it's last minute work. Very nice experience.
