Looks fantastic! What is the obsession with tinting the rear 3/4 window - it just ruins the glass line IMHO? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
what is that hole over the glass near Ferrari badge?? I can't wait to listen Flavio Manzoni who speaks about design and innovations
Thank you jdcohenmd! I can understand how you feel that way. I kind of like it. Its their privacy glass. As a counter point I would say if you look at some pictures of the F12b with standard glass, you will see the rear window has a substantial area that is blacked out already as the window opining inside the vehicle is not as large as the glass. The moment I locked into this a few years ago, I have since found it very distracting. The privacy glass looks dark indoors, outside its not quite as dark looking, though it is pretty dark. I never thought I would say this as I usually don't like tinted windows, but I think in the right color combination it works on the F12. Heres one where you can see what I'm getting at. https://www.autogespot.com/ferrari-f12berlinetta/2017/03/06
Totally agree, this obsession with 'privy glass' or tinted windows in the rear makes most cars look like van variants. In larger cars i.e. Range Rovers, big porkers and mercs it makes the driver look like the chauffeur. I just don't get it......
Not sure if the F12 in the pic has just an even darker tint on all glass, save windscreen, and looks better for it. I don't like it when the rear side window is just so tinted it looks black. FF imo looks better without privy glass.
100% they're obsessed with it in the U.K. And we don't have any sun anyway! Most cars are owner driven so beats me why the rear passengers need priv glass! And on larger cars like the Rangie definitely screws up the proportions horribly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've seen the car, as many know, and was not taken particularly with the rear or the red. This is the first picture that makes me question myself. Am I adjusting already or is this just a good angle?
Perhaps the design is like a bottle of fine wine. Open it and let it breathe before it opens up it's pallet.
You can see the front lower active air paddle just in front of the wheel in that picture. Can imagine the effect with independent left/right front and the rear paddle. Not sure what the story is with the aero (?) at the base of the hatchback lid. I got to tell you though, at this point, I'm more interested in the tech changes of the car. So far, I think the body is a miss unfortunately. Hoping it will get better with pictures from the show.
I much prefer the F12. I thought i would love the 4 tail lights but that rear is just too "robotic" looking.
Totally agree; the rear look is just off, like it belongs on a different car. And while some spacers would help fill out the wheel wells, nothing can save those wheels imo. They belong on an '85 SAAB. I hope a live view will make me lighten up.
It would look better in GS or Nero methinks , certainly a colour that tones down all the plastic and vents.
