The rear works much better for me in grey.

Not sure about the vents by the headlights yet.

Agree about the color, the red makes the whole car look awkward.

Thanks. The last 3 minutes of the video have the grey car rotating on the stand. It gives you a much more 3D perspective than the photos and shows the design to be more fluid. That's if you can ignore the awful video on the screen behind it.

I just saw the pics of the McLaren 720S - whilst the performance benchmark may be significant the car is downright ugly! I am a huge fan of the P1 but I don't see anyone here buying that instead of a 488 or 812SF IMHO.

You can get a better feel for some of the proportions from this. The front fenders really are meant to feel that they sweep high and then back low from the new aero bridge. I want to see it in person. The wheels are fantastic. I'm feeling like the rear facing slit on rear fender could have been more graceful if turned to flow more parallel with the c pilar. Interesting design. The rear appears huge.

720S - Ugly Indeed. Makes me feel guilty for critiquing the 812.

The grey cars seems to have carbon exterior parts...in post 828 , on the bottom right picture. It shines like carbon.

    Thougts ?

Yes i think the side sill is carbon, front lower bumper splitter and the exhaust surrounds.

    Thanks.

He comments how he wasn't convinced when he first saw the pictures of the car especially from the rear, but that now in 3D live the sculptured tail, lights and proportions do the car justice.

That new flashy red is understandable now, you cant see (or at least its a bit harder) that ugly vent with red option.

McLaren's release video for the 720 is worse than Ferrari's for the 812. McLaren may as well have CG'd Ayerton holding Bruno's hand while he was driving. So silly.
