But we said those things after we saw them too, I'm only suggesting at that point you have a better position to critique. >8^) ER
Why do you send all these pictures Eric? They obviously do not say anything about its real appearance, right?
Just giving people a look at a fresh face. My only point is that it's foolish to judge it harshly if all you have seen are pictures. Think of the innumerable times throughout history we have seen people say they liked a car so much more in person? >8^) ER
This rear angle is mega. Few more here https://twitter.com/CarDealerEd/status/839056771872403456 >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
I prefer the rear end (by a mile) and roofline of the new car but the sides and front (by a mile) of the 675. That front looks like a dopey shark with an over bite. I'm also 100% in agreement with Mayor, cars today are all super performers. They also can/should be attractive while doing so.
Now we're talking..... the car seems color sensitive, never thought I'd say this but it looks much better in white than the orange example shown. Certain cars take time to look good, the rear of the F12 with the jock strap deisgn was extremely odd when I first saw the press pictures and I felt the same way with the new 812S press pictures, but the longer you study it, the more it grows on you. The F12 is IMO, one of the most elegant Ferrari's ever made. The 812S has grown on me as well, I can only imagine it will be the same with the 720S. One would hope the 720s commands a heavy presence in person
I agree with the above, I think it'll grow on me but not enamored with it straight off. Releases - McLaren Media Site
That photo does look much better. The front end still looks off though. It looks too big perhaps. I'll have to see it in person.
Rear looks great. They finally bothered designing one. I think it will look great in a single color combo.
I don't like the front design of this car, a face without eyes and an overbite, one of my first association when I saw the white one was... However, beauty is not everything. The 720S looks demanding and technically very sophisticated. I'm extremely curious about its technical qualities. In this sense I like this car, and I like McLaren for the bold design. I wonder how many (new) Ford GT buyers are rethinking their deposits. This 720S will easily thrash it around a track and do so for $100k less. Not that that is the sole reason to buy an exotic but price/performance is a big one.
Except that the Ford will likely be double in value in a few years and the 720s will just be another pedestrian stock run of the mill production car for Mclaren.
...and probably lose $75-100k after first year (once production ramps). $300k+ car market is very small.
gorgeous! grand slam in bottom of 9th inning 7th game ws down 3 runs!! absolutely love, love it. and ive never like a mac before. if anyone with $300k in their pocket can walk into mac dealership and drive it away, then this will be a game changer at Ferrari too. who would put up with hoops Ferrari makes you jump through anymore? buy a ff you don't even want and then maybe able to buy 458 for $50k over sticker? I don't think so bravo mac!
