They switched the configurator from the F12 Berlinetta to the 812 Superfast, yet not available online. Ferrari Range: All Models on Sale - Ferrari.com
More good close up video at Geneva: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j56s5M8PMIE At the end of the video he says people are divided over the car, some say it has an American 'Corvette' look. In his opinion that is not true but he thinks that stylistically the F12berlinetta is a cleaner design.
I still think it needs to be black.. There's just too much going on with the vents and creases everywhere.
I finally see, at least in my mind, how the back of the 812 resembles the Daytona (as Ferrari has mentioned). To me, much of that rear quarter view, including the flip tail (not part of the Daytona resemblance) beckons to the past. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I for one, being a long time Ferrarista...Love the direction Ferrari is going with their designs. You can simply see the evolution from one previous model to the next at the same time taking their designs to the next level without it being unrecognizably...a Ferrari! Bravo Ferrari! Marco.
Can't agree with you on this Panjan. Cars do evolve, classic lines disappear, aerodynamica is nowadays one of the more important items in car design etc. Haven't seen it for real yet (another week) but believe that it belongs to the era. As for the future I even think that these kind of design features will increase. Total impression thus far certainly is that the car comes across much more aggressive than the F12B or even the TDF.
I agree with you BUT they could do that in some kind of softer and elegant way. That vent is the one and only thing I dont like in 812. Many gentlemen here said that McL 720S is ugly. I cant agree because at least the whole scuplture there is super consistent. The way how thay have menaged the airflow is amazing and elegant in some way. So that being said I would expect more beautiful and elegant method to menage that exact vent by such brand like Ferrari. Im just a bit upset, because Ferrari becomes more tech than beautiful. And it started since 488 where air intakes are not too nice. In 812 things went deepr in a bad way.
Why oh why couldn't they have named it Daytona. Love video does it justice...rear is much more understandable (to my mind) with a person in the frame for scale.

hmmm...superfast but not superugly...it definitely hasn't excited or moved me like the TdF and 599GTO have and continue to. Looks pretty bland & generic...
