    Thanks !

I absolutely love the carbon exterior parts (On the Grey car), that you ordered on your car

It makes me forget some aspects of the design that i don't like, but I'm confident I will swallow the pill

I like the 57 hp increase and the brakes. The rest - saves me about $150K. Shame, but I don't seem to even want to see it in person. Kind of afraid of the sales pitch to trade in.

Agreed, and they look better by quite a big margin as well for me.

You gotta ask yourself, how hard they have tried to wow all of us. I think the pics and videos are cool but I reserve judgement till in person. Frankly speaking I find that today's Ferrari designs need to wear on you for a bit before we start to love them. I will take one in TDF. Maybe with so many people on the fence the wait won't be 3 years+ :)

Sometimes the designers are out in front of us. I think they really have to be so the design will look fresh for some time. I suppose you might say- yeah, they went too far out in front! My point is the days of simple designs are over and these are complex designs that need to be seen in all 3 dimensions. I need to see these cars in person.

That's your opinion. That was my initial reaction to the red car when I saw it but not to the grey. Having the rear splitter in a contrasting colour makes quite a difference. "Being Honest" personally, I thought the F12 rear was a complete miss which, leads me to thinking that having a good aero design for the rear is perhaps quite a difficult thing to combine with aesthetics.

The 812 rear is much better looking than that of the F12

Appearance wise the Berlinetta is a more cohesive design. Just one man's opinion. Like many cars, I'm sure it will grow on you over time. For me, the F12B was love at first sight. I will not be seeking an 812 build.

Sorry if this is a repeat, and I know it isn't top of our list for consideration but Mr Marchionne stated pricing in Italy as starting at 292k eur which is a 6% increase over the f12. Shipments scheduled to start in q4 17.

I had similar impressions that it looks a bit like a Daytona, which is not a bad thing at all. But I'm not sure about the "Continental kit" sticking out the back.

I must admit, I laughed heartily at that one. In red, especially, it looks like there is a trim, taut design that has been body-kitted into submission.

I just finished pouring over the photos posted and video links, a welcome after-work treat.
Many thanks to all for those
Mr Massini, thanks for showing similar views of both colors for comparison purposes, and especially for posting more of the grey which is, in my humble opinion, a more flattering color.

I agree with many who feel this will be a color sensitive design. I also agree that the promo video with footage from the recent Noah's ark movie and Interstellar would have benefitted from a less High Concept approach.

That being said, I'm very excited to see it in the tin.
The initial images hinted at the aero design elements that suggest overlapping and enveloping volumes; this theme feels more pronounced to me after having seen more images. I dig it.
I will however keep the following in mind:

Traveller's thread and now this one have been quite fun to follow.

How come they didn't upgrade the dashboard? Still the same type of TFT screen, I hope they upgraded those two screens, so can have HD resolution graphics

The lack of integration on this car is really apparant in the pictures. It's like they just stuck things together, especially with the rear of course. The design components do not flow into each other like you see in other great Ferrari designs, the LaFerrari and 599 for example.

It's just looks like 'boy racer' styling all over the place.

I think if Luca were still in charge this never would have happened, come to think if it, Pininfarina probably would not have been dumped either. We would have a modern classic instead of a hodge-podge of abrupt lines masquerading as a design solution.

Furthermore, great designs look great in all colors. The Daytona looks good in yellow, for example. There is really not a bad color for the 599, white included. To say this car's design is color sensitive is to say some colors hide the flaws and lack of integration better. That, I think, is why it looks best in grey.

The sooner Ferrari gets back to their roots, that is elegance and beauty together with functionality, the better.

This is so painful to watch. Obviously I am keeping my F12 forever, they have jumped the shark.

Thanks for all the pictures today Marcel! Looking at untouched photos, I am more and more pleased with what I see. I think the comparison with corvette is half hearted at best. One could argue the TDF "shared" the most with the vette and the vette still looked like a kit car in comparison. Personally, I didn't love the F12 when I first saw the pics and I had to see it in person before I appreciated the lines, complexity and overall scale of the car. I now find myself sitting in my gagrage (with an occasional drink in hand) admiring its beauty. I have no doubt the 812 will make a similar impression.

Im pretty sure that different painting options would change 812 completely.
I would go into something classic like Daytona. Blu Mirabeau (I guess...) or Tour de France Blu + Cuoio or Beige Tradizione + silver or yellow callipers and 812 will be a stunning car.
