Beautiful example! I sure love the Jalpa. I enjoyed mine for over 7 years.

I remember you could hardly give those cars away. With only 410 produced, it's amazing they are not worth more. Perhaps one of the best sounding cars ever.

I assume they're referring to parts availability. I'm not a lambo guy so I wouldn't know, but I've definitely heard that's the case, true or not.

In the 1980's, I used to spend quite a bit of time at Motorcar's International in Springfield Mo. Motorcar's was a authorized Lamborghini dealer, and sold quite a number of new Lambo's, including Jalpa's. Remember one day, standing beside a brand new Jalpa, talking to Bob Cann, the head of Motorcar's, and he made the comment, "the build quality of the Jalpa, could certainly be better". We got to talking about something else, and I don't know if Bob was referring to just a lot of little items his people had to sort out/correct, when the Jalpa's were delivered to their shop, or running issues. The good news, the Jalpa has been around long enough that any problems should long ago be corrected. Great looking cars, probably the biggest issue, would be parts availability today.

I was afraid about the parts issue before I got mine. I have been doing pretty extensive restoration of mine over the past few years. So far, the only (genuine and original) parts I wasn't able to obtain from the parts dealers were the steering wheel, the plastic piece around the shift knob emblem, the power mirrors, and the tool kit. The steering wheel and mirrors were found used . Still need a tool kit. Overall, I am impressed with the parts availability
