Anyone know which other cars used Ferrari engines?

    Lancia Stratos
    Fiat Dino
    Lancia Thema 8.32

    Any others?

Lancia Stratos (available in road and race versions) reminds that Ferrari supplied engines for the Lancia LC2 race cars.

Among the customer-built cars was Bill Harrah's Jerrari. :)

Technically, the crankshafts in the Maserati are cross plane while in Ferraris are flat plane. So it s not a Ferrari engine, but it is an engine made from a Ferrari casting.

I read once that the engine in a lambo 350Gt was very close to that of a P4 being designed by the same guy.

They have in common that they are both 4 cam 60 degree V12s. Not designed by same person.

The Maserati Coupe and Spyder, including the GranSport versions, were built from 2002 until 2007. They were designed when Ferrari owned 100% of Maserati,so they could be considered Ferraris. The 4244cc engine was derived from the F430 engine, with many changes (same bore, shorter stroke). However, this Maserati engine was not used in any car with a Ferrari nameplate.

This and there are other small differences, but as far as design and production, the Maserati engine is 100% Ferrari

308 Dino has an fcar engine ha ha

There was a special edition lancia thema that had a 308 engine in it from the factory. The engine had some mods (maybe even a different non flat crank) but I'm sure these are pretty collectible now

The stratos is the coolest car ever (fact) but don't forget that's a fiat engine

I believe Ferrari built the engine in the Maser Gransport (and others in that line) and even today builds the v6 engine (and maybe others?) used in Maserati's? (I seem to recall seeing them being built at the factory tour).

So Ferrari "built" engines in other cars? Sure.

Same "exact engine as in a production Ferrari in another car"? Not sure...

That's my understanding. Maser engines are Ferrari engines with de-tuned heads. And yes, the Alfa QV 90' v6 is a Cali T block minus 2 cylinders. And hell, on that Toyota, just turn the intake around ;)

The Alfa V6 in the Giulia and (soon to be) Stelvio is basically a California engine less two cylinders.

also, no flat crank on that Alfa. That said, man that Alfa is a lot of car for the $$ and hell of a design. Who wouldn't look at this thing before buying another M3-fiat got it right this time
