Justin, THANK YOU !!! Exactly what I wanted to see !! the alternate wheels look GOOD (Both IMO) The non-Scud seats look GOOD I think we just saw the 812 with those funky wheels and red and matte grey paints. Those will not be the most popular choices. Let some grey/white/blue cars with tdf wheels pop up here and there and we'll learn to love the 812 .
And a few random pics I took.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Deltona, Glad to hear you were impressed with the car in person. I love the first configuration illustrated with the standard wheels!
Agreed, the standard wheels are great, a bit of a bargain if you ask me! Paint is Grigio Ferro by the way. Had to be grey, especially for you ;-))))
Out of the 2 cars on the stand myself and all my friends(8 of them) preferred the rosso car to the matte grey one.
Thanks for posting Justin. The first wheel make the car look like it's a sort of an F12, the tdf wheels like it's a sort of tdf. Interesting what strong association wheels have. I am sure there will be a diamond cut in due course. Great to see Daytonas in there, the start of a GT spec as far as I am concerned. I have to say I wish Ferrari would spend some money on their configurator, the paint colours are so poor.
Thanks for posting all of that. Glad to hear it looks better in person (I'm not surprised, most cars do). It's encouraging to hear though!
Sir, you're AWSOME! Gosh, so much better with the standard rims, not bad with the silver TDF ones. The shields again look weird in that position. And let's establish that greys are true GT colors.
I love. i absolutely LOVE the gloss carbon. I want to see a tdf with such carbon instead of the horrendous looking matte CF. Really appreciated ! Grey Buddy ! "We, the grey people" is my next book. The ferrari configurator must be upgraded. There are some terrible mistakes on the french Version. Some words are suddenly in Spanish... some others terribly translated. some option impossible to select... The Porsche Configurator, especially the 360° version is top notch.
We will not get the numbers for each element I fear. The bulk of the numbers go to the under body active/passive (majority of it I presume), the hood/grill elements and the tail lip. The rest is the Opera House motif and other design spins that seem to offend cohesiveness. I don't like the new steering wheel either. Its because it is basically two circles (yellow and black) surrounded by a very eccentric oval (airbag function) which to my eyes are incompatible shapes. The rest of the interior just doesn't look anywhere near as special as the F12b cabin which is luxurious and timeless. However, I like the 812 side view mirrors - functional and elegant.
It's also nice to see Ferrari made minor interior alterations and did not adopt the GTC4Lusso's seat design.
The std and tdf-look wheels, though thoroughly predictable, are a big improvement on the busy turbine wheels, at least to my eye. Would love to see the tdf-like wheel offered in a matte grigio. Thinking the subdued simplicity would live well with all the active body surfaces. On the other hand, diamond cut which works quite well on the F12, might be a bit much on this. We'll see. Wondering if you can delete or change that interior color trim around the instrument binnacle. Don't love it, but may look nice enough if done in a satin material.
Just got back from the Geneva motor show...I missed the Maranello preview due to another engagement and was pretty curious to see what I ordered. The car has nothing to do with the launch pictures...It is absolutely stunning in the metal and really makes me think hard about colour and spec. Perhaps this has to be a Tailor Made model... I didn't think the interior looks or feels cheap, it is a great successor to the F12 and many people will find it superior. The car appears to be selling out fast, most of the Ferrari people I spoke to on the stand told me that the first 2 years are gone in pretty much every market..Looks like another great success for Ferrari... I also visited McLaren and saw the 720S...Magnificent car, very "technical" in design, but really attractive at the same time...By far the most intriguing thing on the show and I was told the first 2 years are also sold out Didn't care much for the new GT3 or the Huracan Performante...Nice cars but not for me Overall the show was not exactly flooded with people, I expected much more of a crowd...
Thanks for the reminder that my boys up in Detroit aren't totally out-to-lunch when it comes to car design! ;-)
Thanks for posting. Glad to see the other options look great... as I was really struggling to like the wheels on the launch cars.

Thanks for posting. That red color is gorgeous. The diffuser in red is also a nice touch. The rear still seems to disjointed to me, but at least Ferrari has good taste in music. T
