If you want triple layer, which is lovely, be prepared to wrap it fully ... else you risk blemishes that cant be touched up.
Incorrect per usual --- you get quite a number of litres of the exact same batch used to paint the car in order to keep for touch-ups etc.....basically a lifetimes worth
I'm must refer you to a more the more artistic and technically-minded individuals on here as I have zero clue! I'll be in maranello in April to see the 1st samples of green for my 812SF
I tried to answer in post 270. Basically it is the fact the paint is laid down in multiple layers in different directions that gives it the incredible depth and lustre.
Thanks sir - Olivier can now sleep in peace tonight, or shall I say the rest of us can, as he now has the answer.... [emoji23]
This is by far the prettiest TDF i have ever seen..stunning colour..congrats on such a wonderfull machine!
I am currently overseas, actually Geneva tomorrow, so I'm afraid the colour code is some way away. I will get to it at some stage. Thanks for everyone's views on the wheel centres which obviously agrees with how I specced it in the beginning, but then I am tempted to keep on meddling in case i could make it just a tiny bit better......
I wouldn't change wheel centers. Standard is perfectly fine for that bit IMO! I get it that a picture of the paint sticker will have to wait... but I can hardly believe you didn't look at it when you picked up the car in London?? I guess you're a busy guy and really haven't spent that much time with the tdf yet.
I used to think that standard wheel centres were he way, but after having changed mine to black on my black FF, now ordered CDF wheel centres for my GTC4L, I've now gone and ordered Blu Nobile for my F12B as it so much more discrete and "fluid" when it matches the cars colour however as with anything that is colour related, purely personal!
Really a great color combo. The blue, the yellow pops with the shields and wheel centers, and that interior! Could this be one of the best color combo's ever? Very nice. -F
Tim, a most memorable thread and like others, I wish to express my gratitude for your efforts in sharing your amazing experience. I stumbled upon this thread whilst snowbound on a business trip to New York. Needless to say, this brightened what otherwise would be a dull day.
How special? Read this: http://www.afr.com/brand/luxury/what-you-need-to-stay-at-casa-enzo-ferrari-the-trackside-home-of-the-pope-of-the-north-20150723-giipwq
Traveller, this might be my favourite Fchat thread ever, thanks for giving the insight on an experience i can only dream of as of now, and congratulations on the stunning specced car, it really looks as close to perfection as it can get. P.S. I think the correct name for the interior material is 'Pecora', as it translates to 'Sheep' in Italian.
Funny! I would vote for "Blu Traveller" Tim, again fantastic thread and really appropriate as you are a very very serious Ferrarista. Regarding the wheel caps, my opinion echoes the other responses. I have two reasons. Firstly is what CD said, it works with your color combination. Secondly, this is now how your car left The Factory, and that should count for something. In my very humble opinion, you have achieved perfection in spec and experience.
