"It was a real pain from start to finish. I loved the car but......" See video here from around 11.02: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClwXsJtE2jY&t=2s Registration number JLL 866K. Went up in smoke then actually caught fire. Pic of the burning SV in the video is the yellow one that burned in London a few years ago. I owned this car from 85 to 91 it never stopped going wrong, probably the worsted car I have ever owned defiantly the worst Miura and I have owned three
It was sold by the potato farmer to a collector in Jersey [I think] I brought the car from a car dealer in Brighton UK,it was once described by Lamborghini UK as a Friday afternoon car, nothing on the car worked properly and the engine was a complete disaster with a soft crankshaft etc,the bodywork was full of filler because of the damage when it was new, it was also very rusty,I believe in recent years most things have been put right and the car has been rebuilt
In German we says a Monday's car. Quite common on Miura, know a guy in switzerland who got poor because of the bills and had finally to give his SV away, couldn't afford anymore. I always thought, a Countach for the look and drive, a miura for the Looks only.
If ever there was a car that was a natural candidate for a TOTAL restoration to modern acceptable standards of form & function, it is the Miura. I base this on the ownership of 5 Miuras, incidentally, all SVs! I agree with Raymond, the Countach is a MUCH better car all-round in every regard, especially if it is to be used. I stopped counting how many Ive owned years ago, but I think we are talking something like 10, covering the entire production span from LP400 to 25th. Having said all this, if you take the position that the cars are automotive art, then you can just enjoy them for what they are!
Thank you! I've also saw that video which was filmed in Dubai. It is a great collection which contains a lot of Lamborghinis and also two Miura SVs. I embed the video at the point with the two Miuras but of course you can see it from the beginning. http://youtu.be/6T4dBKa8QhM?t=242
I found these from many years ago in London, and thought they may be of interest to ya'll. Photos were taken between 2003 and 2007, but I can't be more precise than that right now! Same garage had for sale a 288GTO with 1000kms on the clock in October 2006. Robert Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I came across these the other day - a leftover reminder from when I sold my p400 a few years back. A couple of later additions in there to complete the set but otherwise a toolkit 50 years old this year. I wonder how many escaped being thrown in the trash by the first owner.
