in a boom market even the ugly ones sell fast. "Dino" notwithstanding, boom in GT4 cars got left behind in the rush and now at least one dealer is stuck with a bunch of project cars that are going to take a long time to sell ..

I miss when the driver 308 whatevers were all under $20k. I bought a series one gt4 with a hot rebuilt motor and trans for $13k on here several years ago. These cars are not worth the current prices. Too many other things I would prefer to have. Glad I had all the cars I did, before they went into stupid prices mode.
Have fun, ya all shoulda bought them 10 years ago. I never paid much more than $20k-25k for the: 208gt4, 308gt4, 308gtb, 308gts, 308GTS QV, nor the two 328's !). At least a new breed of folks appreciate the cars now. Cheers.

As a usable "classic", I think the GT4 is a terrific car and represents good value. It has good performance, good ride quality, fantastic handling and enough luggage space for a decent holiday away. Contrary to the common held view that Ferraris are fragile, I've found the Dino to be a tough, reliable car.
We took our Dino to France last year for a week and we're going to Spain in it later this year for 2 weeks.
We took our Cobra to Itally in 2015, which has no roof or side screens, so we're looking forward to the relative luxury of the Dino. :) Of all the cars I've ever owned, including current Range Rovers and F-Type Jaguar, the Dino is the only car my wife has ever felt relaxed enough in to fall asleep.

We're taking the ferry to Santander and then spending 4 nights in the Los Picos National Park. We're then driving to Pamplona for 2 nights and from there to a hotel high up in the Pyrenees for 3 nights.
From there, we're driving back through France via Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Le Mans.

We did a similar trip to Tuscany in 2015, which was terrific.

I remember my first trip Santander to Barca in our Dino, got off the Ferry, I, as many would, respect the cars' suspension and height over speed bumps, there were many. I was obviously pi**ing off the local Spanish occupants in the car behind as they pulled alongside, they, there were three, starting verbally abusing my wife, didn't notice the car I was driving was RHD, STUPID people!! I decided to pull over in front them, got out of the car and confronted them. I have a little chat with them (he, he, he)! to the applause of about 20-30 people. The inside of their car smelt a little after this cosy little chat.
Moral of this story........don't come between me and my Dino, oh, and the wife.

    Sorry you can't make Barca.
