    Steve do you need anything special on the back of the phone to use this mount or does the magnet work on the phone itself?

    You just remove the cover of your phone (if you use one) and insert between phone and case a small metal plate. If you don't use a cover then you can stick it directly to your phone. It really works great and can be put on and taken off with one hand unlike the clip ones where you need both hands.
