After a couple years of lurking I went yesterday to test a 458. I love the look and the engine. I am a big guy at 6'5" and 275. I found that it just does not have enough leg room for me. I was very disappointed. I am wondering if there is a way to get a few more inches by having the rails adjusted some how. I have a Mas GT MC, although there was a 599 there my heart was with the 458.

I thought there had to be an answer to not having my knee on the wheel. I appreciate anyone's input. Just wanting to get a dancing horse mid engine.

Im 6 3" and 290 - you need to have the race seats - the reg seats will not work for you -

I saw Plaxico Burress drive a 458 Spider, so it will work for the OP. I think the best route is race seats and special rails.

I'm nearly 6' 5" and the carbon race seats have enough room.

6'5" also 220lbs, 36" inside leg....458 coupe , fit fine, but yes you need the carbon race seats to maximise the rear movement of the seat for leg room. I didn't fit well in the spider even with the race seats as the rear bench sticks out further than the coupe and robs that bit of rear movement in the seat

I remember that! I was right behind him. It was tough to keep up with him. So I'm 6' and he dwarfed me as you can see. He fit very nicely in that spider.

So sgrady41 (WHAT is your name friend ?)... you got all advises that say the same .... racingseats will do it for you.

Nothing should stop you now from buying the 458 of your dreams ... or ?

I am 6'3", 200lbs. Currently looking for a spider as well. Do you think regular electric seat will work?

Bear in mind that spiders are even tighter than the coupe. Race seats in spider for sure. If you're 6'3" with regular seats you might have trouble reclining further back.

My advise try it out before really good before purchase.

    Good Luck!!

Race seats suck if you ask me and I tried them, yes you fit but my left knee hit the cruise control each time I got out of the car. I am 6'3" 190lb so I am long and lean. I bought a Cali which has great seats and I can get in and out of easily. I fit better in my 991tts than the 458 which is one reason I quit looking at them. I knew if I was bumping my leg consistently like that I would break something.
