Hi Everyone. Just wanted some confirmation on the self calibration when installing a new clutch on a ferrari 355 F1 without the SD3 system. According to the Manual there is a PIS self calibration, a IO self calibration and then another called the octopus were the clutch will go automatically through each gear on its own. According to the manual self calibration can be simply performed by following sequence. Would someone know which self calibration method is used just to recalibrate a new clutch. I am unclear when to use the IO self calibration and or the octopus self calibration.
I have tried many times, all unsuccessfully, to run that self calibration on my car. Let me know if you get that to work. Would love to make it happen here.
It has worked well for me by following the instructions exactly. I found the instructions on this forum.
It worked for me as well following the instructions after my engine out 5 years ago. I then took it to a dealer and it works way better after they did their thing. I would not recommend oher than to get it to dealer who knows what they are doing and set it up correct afterward. I guess what I am saying is I did not really trust it because it was not wright. If it will not work when following instructions I can not help you. The octopus calibration is for the position of the actuator and would not be needed if you did not disconnect it. The pis is for the clutch. I think I answered you?.
I have followed the instructions to the letter in the manual. No joy. What instructions did you find? I would really like to try them.
Hi, everyone just perform the PIS self calibration to adjust for new clutch or did you also perform the IO self calibration.
Can someone explain how the IO self calibration is performed. I can't make sense out of it in the manual. Its a 1999 F355 F1.
