Even as great as Mayweather is, he could never knock out Canelo, short of a sucker punch a la Victor Ortiz, and even then that's asking too much from a fighter that's truly a 147 lb'er, not even a full 154 lb fighter.

FM could rumble, when he needed to. He could finish, when he needed to. I draw your attention to 5:29, for your viewing pleasure.

Victor Ortiz? He got what he asked for.

As I've said before, the theories, speculation and predictions abound :)

Personally, I suck at predicting fights, so I take a wait-and-see approach and review the fights afterwards.

That said, as a matter of FChat record, I have successfully predicted the last four (4) winners in a row of the Kentucky Derby  :D

Were talking about a fighter that balloons upwards of 180 lbs and has a solid chin, no way Mayweather could KO canelo.

As for Ortiz, whether he asked for it or not, sucker punch is still sucker punch. Yeah, yeah, always keep your guard up

I remember watching that fight. What a stellar performance by Floyd. Mayweather always seems to figure out what it takes to win and ends up schooling his opponents. Ricky Hatton looked like an amateur next to Mayweather.

Sorry for the late reply gents. Hope all has been well with everyone. :)

I agree with this Joe and I appreciate the reply.

It was a VERY tricky fight for GGG. He is normally used to people standing in front of him and he normally knocks them out.

You know what this GGG VS Jacobs fight reminded me of?

    Klitschko VS Fury.

Go back and watch that fight. *Actually, don't do that*

Fury didn't do what everyone else did.........he didn't stand in front of Wladimir to fight.

He danced circles around the ring throwing silly punches at Klitschko and he won the fight on points.

Well, Jacobs did the exact same thing to GGG and I reckon he won that fight on points.

Even with the knock down, Jacobs should have won that fight if you ask me.

And I am a big GGG fan. But being realistic, GGG lost that fight IMO.

I don't like the way Jacobs fought, I think that's a cowards way to fight in the boxing ring.........but it worked and Jacobs should have won the fight just like Fury did against Klitschko.

Did anyone watch Lomachenko VS Sosa a few weeks ago? :)

Loma is one of the best fighters on the planet! He is definitely not over-hyped! :D

A friend made a comment to me that Lomachenko made Sosa "look like a journeyman" in their fight.

A little highlight reel to watch for those interested. :)

Another VERY exciting fighter is Jermell Charlo. :D

He is a weapon for those who haven't seen him fight before and is fast tracking his way to being a superstar!!

He just fought yesterday and finished off Charles Hatley with a massive KO in the 6th round defending his WBC Super Welterweight title.

Jermell has an indentical twin Brother named Jermall who is just as good.

BIG futures for both of these young men......

Looking forward to this weekend too Pap. I like AJ in this fight. Klitschko's last performance against Fury was an embarrassment. Going to have to agree to disagree with you on the Golovkin/Jacobs fight. You know I'm a big GGG fan but I would give credit to anyone who outboxes him. IMHO the unanimous decision for Golovkin was correct. Jacobs made it through and he should be proud of that. Would love to see Danny fight Lemieux. I think Jacobs would handle him but it would be interesting to see if he could withstand Lemieux's power.

Absolutely amazing fight! Have to give Klitschko props for his conditioning and effort especially given his last performance against Fury. Joshua fought like a true champion. Great fight and great night for the heavyweight division.

I saw this video of Wilder having an argument with Tony Bellew at the weigh in. :p

I would actually like to see AJ fight Wilder next. Or even Parker, definitely want to see another title fight from AJ next if they can make it happen.

As great as this fight was, I hope AJ moves on from Klitschko and onto other fights.

He KO'd the legend, time to move on and continue the journey to claim all the title belts.

If Klitschko is still around in a year or two and wants another chop at the title then give it to him then, but I think that is highly unlikely.

In regards to Wilder VS Joshua, I have my money on Joshua via KO.

Wilder is just that, a wild man and he can't box to save himself. lol.

But he does have some serious KO power, that's for sure.

Here is the clash between Wilder and Bellew.
