I completely agree- whatever gives u tingling of joy when you see the car is worth every last euro .... penny......
It does look a little japanese... I think some editing would go along way. I liked the "organic" flowing kind of lines that the f12 was using more of. Sort of like the 430 vs the 458. The 430 doesn't look that good to me too angular... and then on a rounded body... its a bit like bad plastic surgery. You can see the original shape through the newer lines. The 458 just look great (other than the mustache and the crazy eyeliner) the shape was beautiful. The f12 was beautiful in its simplicitiy and flowing lines... The 812 in that picture looks like an lfa on a bad acid trip who went shopping at a halloween store. Now... having said that... I think all the photos until that one made the 812 look great. I think thats just a really bad angle on the car. I think the 812 looks really nice. (except that angle)
LDM was not against spoilers, yet rear wings on production vehicles. In example, the 355 and 599 GTO had rear, pronounced spoilers under his reign. Nothing extreme, like wings a la Huracan Performante/Porsche GT3 or even subtle like Audi R8 V10 Plus.
I agree with you and I have to make justice to the 812, after seeing the latest videos I'm more convinced the car looks really nice and sporty from most views. The angle on that picture I published is probably the worst of the 812 and makes no justice to the car. Ferrari could propose a press black-out of that rear angle of the 812 and I suggest that they look to the case study of the singer Julio Iglesias who has on his performances a contractual clause that forbids any filming or image taking of his right profile who suffered a deformation many years ago caused by a faulty plastic surgery.
Fair...I remember reading it and you're right, it was more about a wing than a spoiler. it would be interesting to hear his thoughts on the 812. I was liking at first but now that I have time to digest I am loving almost all aspects.
I'm not crazy about the rugs, but that looks really rich and elegant. Wonder how the cloth wears over time. T
Yes provably that's me. I'd be always spotting the patterns and tying to brush it! I'll stay with leather
Those last two pictures of the red car show a new angle on the wheel. Is that just shading or are they more complex in design and sort of hollowed out spokes ?
According to the current US configurator there are three wheels to choose from: cast alloy, forged and super-light racing. The press cars and showcars all feature the forged design. It is fairly complex and busy looking. But I have already grown to like the look. And yes it appears to be more sculptured and "hollowed out".
Thanks. The mix looks even better in the real. Colour of leather and alcantara is Blu Medio. Kinda neat, I've now been contacted by a famous UK motoring journalist who says my tdf spec (ext and int) is one of the nicest he's seen and wants the car for a big video road test in North Wales. Definitely up for that
Bet he does, you are a brave man no way a journo would drive my Tdf, loss of anonymity also, what's in that for you ?
Er, fun. Especially if I can time it with me following in the 458S Anyway, it's not about me and I need to confirm dates. You would also know exactly who it is.
