So I think the earliest car I saw in Blue Mirabeau was a 360 Challenge Stradale.

    I saw it used after that on a few F430, 599, 612, 458

Was the color used prior to this or only on 2004 and later models?

What is the background of the color? Did it replace a similar older color in the lineup? What other colors is it closely related to? Is it Metallic? How is it in full sunlight? Purplish?

    Thanks for any thoughts.

I think that CS was at Scottsdale Ferrari a few years ago. I tried to make a deal on that car but couldn't quite come together.

this is a very old color actually. and if you know the origin of the name, then you will know just about how old it is.....

extra points for whoever can guess where the name comes from.....

i will check in here later to see who got it right ;)

I also saw this CS at Ferrari of Scottsdale when they were at their old location. Stunning color was next to a red 430 and yellow 355F1. The three color trio was impressive to see.

So you are saying there are older models than the CS with this color? Can you post a few photos?

Is this color similar to any other blues in Ferrari's lineup?

Blu Mirabeau was introduced with the F430 (and was therefore available on late Stradales). It is supposed to be named after the colour of the sea near the Mirabeau corner (more-or-less the entrance to the tunnel) at Monaco. Mirabeau is a hotel adjacent to the track.

It is metallic and is one of those colours that can look quite different in different lights.

The car pictured is a late Stradale, ex-Japan, when it was for sale at DK Engineering in the UK in 2015.

Thanks much for the great information.

The photo I attached has a twin in the US that used to be in AZ although I can't be sure of the interior in that car. I think it had alcantara rather than leather.

blu mirabeau is a color available since at least the 60's and it comes from the color on the sign of the mirabeau hotel (when that building existed and was a hotel) where mirabeau corner (named for the hotel) was just before the right turn to the (train station, loews etc) hairpin. if you find an old color photo from the 60's looking up that stretch you can see the sign. here is one, with a slightly faded sign.

Lovely color. To my eyes, Blu Corsa is like an electric version of Blu Mirabeau.
