Uro is trying to divest.............and I'm trying to behave, which isn't easy with some of these offerings.

Colt Python 357mag 4 inch nickel. With box and papers, box in poor condition.

I would have called this one LNIB except I discovered some pinpoint pit marks on the right side of the frame.

They are so tiny, they are hard to photograph. They are at the red tip of the rifle cartridge in photos.

This revolver has been fired very little as you can see from the internal photos, especially the hammer. Bore is mirror.

I'm having a really hard time pricing this one.

This one is just about identical but no box or papers:

    Colt Python .357 Mag

If someone finds some comps I'd appreciate seeing them so I can price this one at 10% less than the best deal. It appears there is a pretty big variation in the value of the older guns compared to the new ones. Any help appreciated.

I would love to take on the Python and Anaconda. Unfortunately the California Handgun Roster doesn't list them (or any Colts) at this time. :(

I bought one these in about 1980 for $625. Never checked the value until a year ago. Also just saw one on Gun Broker at the same price as above.

Good Guy price $3000 plus $25 shipping.

Robbie has first right of refusal as he has shown keen interest

Not of help in this instance, but can't you still buy those guns (or other guns not listed on the CHR) used from California residents/dealers? In other words, it's a crossing state lines issue, right?

Yes, a Californian can do a private-party transfer with another Californian of any gun that's legally in the state. But the desirable ones are now relatively scarce and that drives up the price to sometimes crazy levels even if you can find one. :(

I do not believe that includes registered assault weapons.

Surrender or out of state I believe are the only options.

I chose out of state and went along for the ride. Too bad, some people wanted them but not in Jerryville.

I was thinking about handguns since I had mentioned the California Handgun Roster, but you're right about the RAW (and also .50 BMG) transfer limitations on long guns.

    Aha. Yes, supply and demand.

Thanks for clarifying (& yes I was only referring to handguns).

****. I came for the Italian made 92FS. I've had my heart set on one for years and the fact that it was coming from a fellow Fchatter made it OK to buy..

If I were you, I might be tempted to hang on to that one for investment purposes.... they are only going up, and up, and up, in value. Depending on the particular configuration, last one I saw at auction went for $17K ! (and that was a steal)
