F12 Status 20

I took my 17 year old to school,he's going on a football tour to Madrid (we considered it lucky to get to somewhere as exotic as skegness in my day) in mine today - dry roads,warm and sunny.
Every time I drive it , it reminds me how blooming good it is.
He said - " you know we can never sell this car".
You are going to love your F12 :0)

Justin I can imagine the feeling, each day seems like an eternity and one just wished the clock could be moved forward. To keep you positively busy while you wait, I post a picture of the Grigio Ferro I took the other day in a petrol station where half of the car is in the shade and the other half under a mid-day strong sun. As you can see the Grigios looks very different, the one in the shade is much darker showing every contour on the F12 body, the one in the sun looks much lighter and reflective.

Bellissima! A great photo that shows the spectrum of Grigio Ferro. My wait is more frustrating due to the surprisingly good UK weather. I can assure you that will change when my F12 arrives. ;-)

According to some research I did Grigio Ferro changed to Nuovo Ferro in 2015 which is according to PPG paints 'Lighter/Bluer' although i think the difference will be quite subtle. It would be great to see Ferro and Nouvo Ferro side by side someday.

Great pictures Justin, the one of the LaFerrari and the California shows very well the differences between the two Grigios.

PS. My F12b is from 2014 so according to your research the color is still the Grigio Ferro.

irvinest your car does look right at home and I am guessing that is your daughter in the front seat getting ready to depart. The smile says it all!

 

Straight off the delivery truck at my dealer yesterday. He took me a few quick pics, excuse the quality. Car now goes to Topaz for detail and full PPF wrap. Should have her home for Easter weekend.

Looking good Justin, fingers crossed this weather holds!!!

 

Justin congratulations what a sight the car looks beautiful and I imagine you must feel delighted and you still have nine days of anxiety until Easter. Even if not using it at least you able to follow the detailing and wrapping operations which are quite interesting and while doing that you can admire the car lines from every angle.

I'm very happy for you and wish that you enjoy your new F12b as much as I've been enjoying mine.

Car arrived at Topaz today, untouched since it left the factory apart from a wash. Apparently the paint quality is better than expected but still with some holograms. Looked ok to me but apparently it will look a whole lot better by next Thursday.

I am so pleased with the colour. Hard to capture on an iPhone but shows the lines beautifully.

...also thrilled with the interior. Was worried about the Alcantara but it looks great, especially pleased with the leather Daytona inserts which blend in really well to my eyes.

Also I left the central bridge in aluminium as I thought it tied in with the aluminium vents, door handles etc.

Should have some pics during the detail and ppf process next week.

I chose the alcantara pack so you get lower dash, door centres, centre console and seat centres in alcantara. What I did a little differently was put the Daytona stripes back to leather as I felt it blended the outer leather with the alcantara centre. See below.

Justin I've just been admiring the pictures you posted and congratulations again because the car is beautiful. What a lovely interior and the white stitching contrast really well with the dark color of the leather. Please post pictures of the detail and wrapping because I'm very interested to see how they do it.
I'm certain you going to have an unforgettable Easter this year.

Thanks Mario. I have asked the detailer to send me pics throughout the process so hopefully they will oblige. I'm new to this film too so hopefully we can all learn something.

By the way the stitching is Grigio Chiaro, but does look almost white against the black.
