Things seem to be working right again for me now. On my iPad, and a lot of other people's, every link on fchat was getting redirected to a vigishopping website. Looks like they cleared it up.

Spider, in green... not even remotely interested. Even at the $50K price they're listing.

I'd not be interested because it is a Spider with TAN interior. The green is fine otherwise.

You can see a tiny bit of the rust in the sills in the pictures the new seller has up. How difficult is this problem to fix? Run away?

I would pass on that car. There have been much better cars for sale on this site for basically the same money as that car. Everything about that car screams "problems", starting with the 55k miles and no major in almost ten years.

All of them will developed rust on the sills if they get washed. They are easy to replace and even easier to upgrade to carbon fiber ones

Johnny - that may be Tim Tanner's car who sadly passed away. We refinished some parts for 2 of his cars very early on. I had a set of finished parts in house when he suddenly passed and I ship them to his sister at no charge. Our overlays where not ready at that time and I did send overlays when done.

Last I knew a family friend was trying to help sell the cars. I don't think he had much time to invest. I don't think this is the current selling.

RIP, Tim. You are missed as you were a great man!!

Last major was in 2008 and many miles ago so it's well overdue but the car presents nice overall.

What do you guys think of the price?

I'm at 70k miles and mine has a stack of receipts since it's conception. Currently getting a fresh major done. Never been repainted (although the nose could use a respray) and overall presents as a very nice driver, and it is. It's a 98 F1 red on tan berlinetta. Low range to top range 355s seem to triple in price.

Since I don't drive it as much now because I got a Maranello as well I was debating selling it to find a lower mile example in a more unique spec. Was thinking around 65k usd for mine considering it's well maintained and freshly serviced. It also has a Tubi on it. What do you guys think?

    Thank you for the responses.
The car does look to have some issues but I am looking for a car that is solid where I can add some value to it with my labor.
But, that's exactly the thing with this car: What price?
It needs a major service, work on the interior trim, seat leather needs some care, the engine compartment needs some help to get rid of that yellow and who knows what else.
A full PPI would be mandatory with this car.

Based off what the car needs and prices from the sale of my car and others that I know have sold, I would say 55 to high 50s. 60 tops but that's if you really, really like the car. Yellow will always hold you back a bit resale wise.

I remember you were looking for blue on tan, right? I think some interesting specs would be Pozzi on Red, TdF on Tan, CdF on Tan, or Prugna (gasp!) on tan.

I bought this beauty from Tim Tanner's estate. Tim took great care of this car, you can see he had a wooden plaque made for it, super cool looking, along with many upgrades I find in good taste. I had it on consignment at Celebrity since they are great friends of mine, and I've bought a few cars there.
For those that haven't seen this car, and in defense to my friend Tim, this car is a stunner, it is in great shape and drives like a dream. I wanted a no stories, unpainted, unmolested gated 355 that had miles so I knew it would have been sorted, and sorted is this car. I'll do a major on it eventually but it isn't as urgent as some might think. I used this car daily for months, it is practically bulletproof.
It has 3 major service records in its files, and a lot more history, and yes, the sticky parts were refinished well as far as I can see. This is my 35th Ferrari and one of my favorites. I plan on taking it back next week when I get back from vacation and it will stay in the garage where it belongs. No way I will sell it at what some think it should sell for ($55-$60K), that will simply not happen, not Tim's car, not a gated berlinetta in this color, and not anytime soon, so keep on looking and best of luck everyone ! ;)

Stephanie - good to hear. Did you get the HVAC overlay I sent to Tim's sister?

Note - As I posted, we refinished parts for 2 of Tim's cars and I'd need to look through my emails to determine which parts for which car as these were done when I was doing this as a hobby business before taking it full time.
