So now that I have my access panel off, i found out that my "dirty coolant" leak is actually a power steering leak. The reservoir and the 2 hoses, along with the pump, are covered in gook. The rest of the accessories look clean bit there are puddles on my underbody panels..i guess I will replace the 2 hoses and the resvervior and hope its not the pump spurting fluid...anyone have any experience with this?

The reservoirs are known to leak. Could also be just a loose clamp.

Thanks, I am just going to order both hoses and the reservoir itself just to be done with it. Hopefully it's nothing more.

On a 15 yr old car, probably a smart decision.

Really, great to know! I'm hoping it's just simple, too yucky to trace down reliably. I'll be under $150 in the fix with an awesome ebay find-brand new reservoir (originally ordered from Ricambi) for $37. The rest I ordered from Ricambi with some interior hardware.

Almost tempting just to change the pump with this info, but it seems to work.

My Indie mentioned there is a fine mist coming from one of the pipes on mine.
Where is this access panel you mention?

You have to remove the top leather panel and carpet behind the seats. You can remove the seats too, it makes working on it much easier, you will also have to remove the seatbelts and pop out the leather housings along the side. The power steering pump, etc. is on the top left side of the motor. The open spot is the access panel in this pic.

Uggghh...so my dirty coolant leak WAS a dirty coolant leak...it was a nice mixture of PS fluid and coolant, found another leaky hose and ordered it...at least it was just all from leaking components and I can hit them all this weekend.
