Why is Toto smiling??? They lost second by 0.001 second and should be angry but obviously they do not care...

 

Damn...I hope the race is as exciting as qualifying! I guess I was a little premature on the Merc funeral, but to have two multi-world champs battling at the front makes for an intriguing season.

Nice pole run by Hamilton. Was more impressed with his first run and holding it together with the snap oversteer.

Yep as was I...but Vettel/Ferrari is very close. It's a big track this. Mercedes have their very special engine qualifying map when they burn a bit of oil to lower DET so they can run more boost. Bahrain should be good next week, Vettel/Kimi go very well there and with a bit of luck, we can snatch pole .

Tomorrow if by some miracle it's dry, Vettel will win it. If wet...who knows too many variables!

 

The Ferrari looks very solid so we are in good shape for the race.i am a bit worried that Seb looks like he is carrying the world on his shoulders and the expectation now is huge.Where as Lewis is looking very relaxed so far having some fun with the fans etc,and Bottas looking like the 2nd Iceman.Kimi just being Kimi muttering on a bit about understeer etc etc.

Racing is also a real test of mental strength so should be interesting tomorrow to see who will come out on top.
