Awesome race by Magnussen... and I've been a huge critic.

That's racing. If it weren't for the random events we would just run the race in a computer simulation.

Seb ran a good race --- Hamilton ran a good race. C'est la vie.

Great race from verstappen. Driver of the day!

Solid from vet. Great race craft and a good result. Ferrari have the pace to compete. Face.

Ham solid. Serene. Good to see his sportsman like behaviour towards seb. Respect there.

Overall, fun race. Best 3 drivers on the podium in 3 different cars. That's all good.

    People who impressed me today

    Ocon
    Magnussen
    Alonso

    People who didn't

Max (ok, he started last but whining about Grosjean for 5 laps made him look small)
Massa (what the hell happened to this guy?)

With all that whining, there better be something truly wrong with Kimi's car.

Seems Ferrari has had their strategy always cost them the last years.

I'd like to see them get much better at this so that they have a chance with all the other good improvements.

I think team radio should have let Vettel pass once Kimi had an "issue/issues" with his car.

Actually, it was the early crash that got them in trouble. The strategy before that happened was risky but probably would have worked. Hamilton would have had to pit to change his tires but luckily, the safety car came out exactly at the time he needed it. Then he did a great race and ran away with the advantage.

+1 The race was actually lost when the SC came out and gave Lewis the advantage of the better timed pit stop...

    Won't last ;)

Alonso again driving out of his skin. McLaren chassis pace seems to be really great.
