Indeed a great color for the classics. This Azzurro Dino painted Daytona was on a 1970's American TV program>

Delighted to see a tdF owner chose Azzurro Dino for his Ferrari!

I'd vote iroko. Where's the picture taken Olivier? Do you know? I've been trying to buy a hat (in background) almost exactly like that for my friend.

Indeed! The raincoat probably gave it away...

The Daytona is an early USA market 1971 build. Note the paint finish compared to what shows up today as so called original at car shows!

Yes factory, as this earlier tdF in a special white paint from 'tailor made' shows the optional larger painted shield design. The three layer white is called Bianco Tartan with to quote the owner; a ton of pearl in it! The second close up image of the same shield though darker; shows the pearl effect quite well.
I may be in the minority but I personally like the larger shield on the tdF where it is in 'scale' with the rest of the design details. Things like the large carbon front fender trim and a general design trend to enlarge the design hallmarks.
One early example of that design trend was the vertical front fender vent on the Stradale and how that detail was made much larger on the later 430 model.
The later build tdF examples are showing a much more adventurous paint and trim selection!

I disagree! Each to their own but IMHO the Matt blue and oversized shields really work- beautiful! However, personally I think a vertical stripe and contrasting gloss cf would have looked even nicer ....

True- and in the picture he's obviously left his glasses at home as he double-bay parked in a rush to go across the road to the bank to pick up his pension ...😂😂
