Algar

I think I remember hearing lots of good things about Algar in general on the forum but would like to hear what is the local community feedback on working with Algar what deals with ordering new vehicles?

Are they responsible for DE sales as well?

Who would be a good sales person who could help me make things happen and make me feel like I am a valued customer?

 

I've only talked to them on the phone and they were very nice and I've heard good things from a few people. I've done majority of my business with Ferrari of Central NJ and always had a good experience.

I bought a Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster from Algar through Francis DeRuschi, their General Manager. He was a totally stand up guy and a pleasure to deal with. He has a artist's eye for color and style and would be an ideal person, IMO, to work with on a new order.

Yes, I've ordered new cars through Central NJ as well as purchased used cars. Stalin was the salesman and Mike is the GM.

I bought a California there and they were great; but, I wouldn't get anything serviced there that is out of warranty. The talent in the shop has left.

 

I have purchased 2 cars from them and have a 488 spider on the way. Francis and Tony are both first class guys to deal with. If you are looking to order a new car you will probably have a wait to deal with.

Any idea of their yearly allocation for v12s?

 

I bought my Maserati GT from them and dealt with Tony Palmer and Francis. Awesome guys, really great and trustworthy.

But yes, their 2 main long time techs (friends of mine) left and started Scuderia Performonte and that is the shop to get service done that is more than normal, or routine.

 

For some period of time, that may have been true. Not anymore.
