Yes more like 40,000 miles. But yes where is this 400 mile f12 located? . Would be interested in it.
Who cares? F12 is old and demand is meh. Out of production v12 Ferraris have no relation to mid engine exotics. It's also only a coupe...
I'm shopping for an F12 and found a very nice 2014 on ebay MSRP 405,000 asking 279,00 with 5400 miles. Granted thats not 400 miles but 5000 miles is about 6 months driving for me so still crazy low miles. I've been talking with them and I think it'll sell for 249-259.
I'm a mclaren fan but now seeing speciale owners or ex owners diminishing the qualities of the speciale is now just getting silly. If you're not using these cars in a way that gets you to see the value of a speciale over an Italia why are we even discussing them? The transmission shifts, playfulness and nimbleness of the car alone over many other cars here mentioned are what make it a speciale. If you're driving all of these cars on the road for ice cream and movie runs there is no point in comparing one to the other. A 458 Italia, 430, 650s who cares. You now just get what you think looks better and whichever one you like the sound of from idle to 4000rpm. I terms of overall excitement when on track my overall opinion is as follows. 675LT->458 speciale->458 Italia->650s. We can break the overall excitement down to segments such as transmission. Speciale->Italia->lt->650 Exterior sound Italia->speciale->Lt->650 Interior sound quality Lt=speciale->Italia ->650 Grip lt->speciale->650->Italia I could keep going with my opinions but I imagine it'll get boring. At the end of the day these cars are comparable at the limit and everything in between is not measurable and just gets down to personal preference. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Pro
I think people often forget that exterior is different than interior sound. 458 sounds great, but far more so to people you're passing on the street than to your ears in the cabin, that's why exhaust videos are kind of dumb. Unless your goal is to be standing around while someone drives your car back and forth by you, sound is less of a big deal than it's made out to be.
Ex owners IMO trying to justify a decision - current owners (myself included) love the Speciale and will not sell the car.
540 (depending on where you live) and 675 LT also. Also current spider versions or spider version coming. More like 7 or 8. Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 that I drive.
I don't follow. The 675LT/P11 hasn't been available for a while now and it out of production. 720S replaced it. Spiders are normal for all manufacturers. Lower spec models are also common and exist for Porsche, Lamborghini, AM, etc. McLaren isn't the odd man out, making too many variations. It's actually Ferrari that just makes one less than everyone else. 458/458 Spider/458 Speciale/458 Aperta... F12/F12 Aperta/F12 TDF... That's not too different than McLaren.
720 is replacement for 650s not 675 LT Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 that I drive.
675LT was a limited run of cars. They produced 1050 cars in total (Coupe, Spider, CF Spider and MSO HS). They are sold out therefore you cannot order one anymore. Deliveries of the Spiders should be almost finished. Therefore, if you walk in a McLaren dealership today, you can only order the 570S (and its derived versions, the 540C and 570GT) or the 720S.
Sounds like a bunch of new models are coming. Press release from yesterday. http://cars.mclaren.press/releases/454 Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 that I drive.
Which hurts your argument that they make too many cars, because there is no replacement for 675LT at the moment, right? So right now they're selling two models; a sports series coupe (in three variants) and super series coupe.
I never said they make too many cars. I only said they did not make 2. If you check their press release I posted a few minutes ago, it sounds like a few more are coming soon. Cars: 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab Only 2 that I drive.

Yes, the normal batch of variants are coming, just like all brands. Spiders, track day version, spider track day versions, etc. Nothing that's not expected. Pretty much every brand nowadays does coupe, spider, coupe gt3, spider gt3. That's the normal formula for exotic sales.
Drag races between two cars with similar architecture is never really telling IMHO... Drag races are about traction and power, so with similar architecture the most powerful car wins (with different architectures, e.g. mid-rear vs rear engine, or 2wd vs 4wd, there could be some compensation against the power deficit). How a car actually drives is not told by a drag race. Until now McLaren has always been behind Ferrari in terms of dynamic behaviour, that's why we need to wait for actual tests to judge the 720S. McLaren needed the far more powerful 650S to outperform the 458 lap times, the MP4/12C was no match in spite of being already more powerful. McLaren needed the lighter, track oriented 675LT to match the 488 lap times. The 720S will most certainly be far quicker than a 488 in a drag race, but it remains to be seen how efficiently it will use its power to be quicker on a track.
A 12C dusts a 458 in every tests I've ever seen, 650S equally if not more so. Ferrari 458 Italia vs McLaren MP4-12C - FastestLaps.com There's really no comparison between any P11 model and the 458. 675 LT came out before the 488 and was based on a car from the 458 era. I'd say McLaren is behind Ferrari in feel, not performance.
