Sorry Tim complete lack of sensitivity from my side but we've had a week of really good weather ideal for driving a back wheels traction Ferrari and you have to understand I'm like a kid with new shoes. London is a city I love and from where I have very good memories and living in the middle of it like you do I would say is a privilege and to my taste one of the greatest urban experiences.

Indeed, amazing week of Spring Weather. Lots of cars out, but that is just for posing round London and unfortunately, unlike Mario who can just pop down the road for a wonderful driving experience, we Londoners have to spend at least an hour getting out of town and away from speed cameras, and real driving roads lie much further. The penalty for living on an overcrowded island.

Quite simply the most striking F12 I've seen, and it couldn't have asked for a best, more dedicated, enthusiast and knowledgeable owner than Mario.

Also being portuguese and a Ferrari owner, this thread and these last couple of pictures are truly inspiring.

I hope to have photos of my 458 next to that gorgeous F12 soon. The two last Pininfarinas.

Kindest regards and keep enjoying in good health as you deserve, Mario!

    Nuno.

Nuno thank you for your always kind words. I hope you've been enjoying your Ferraris with this excellent weather and I look forward seeing our machines soon side by side.

Take care and all the best to you Nuno.

Mario you said it very well- I think the best detailers as well as those who work with film, they understand the science and then there is the artistry, developed over years of practice. So I would trust their expertise. I just wanted to share my understanding.

I post a picture of my F12b with the Atlantic Ocean waters behind and in the background is visible Roca cape which is the most western point in Europe. Quite near from were this picture was shot and driving towards the Roca cape light-house, there is a large sandy beach that back in 1969 was the filming set-up for long scenes of the James Bond movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. The second picture was taken in May 1969 and shows James Bond dark green Aston Martin DBS on this beach while was being prepared for a persecution
    scene.

The Portuguese tourism board should pay you for posting these pictures of your lovely car amidst the natural beauty of Portugal!

Yes, I remember. James Bond, great looking cars, beautiful scenery - who could forget!

Forgive my poor memory and laziness (for not wanting to go through your thread), but is the exterior color of your F12? I

Thank you, Mario. The various grigio Ferrari online were not bathed in gorgeous sunlight as on your stunning F12, so it was hard to tell.

The Xpel is always applied on a perfect ( paint corrected ) and super clean surface , the ceramic coating is then applied on top of the Xpel :).
Otherwise it could lead to faulty adhesion.

It´s the same process to apply the ceramic coating only , the rule of thumb it to have a perfect and cleaned surface to the correct bonding.

Thank you Rui I understood it was done in a different way but now I understand what's the proper procedure.

Jerry the beauty of FerrariChat is that if we tell lies we get caught up very quickly LOL. My detailer Rui from Cardetail is a member of FerrariChat and apparently read our posts about the subject of the application of the Xpel. He posted the following "The Xpel is always applied on a perfect ( paint corrected ) and super clean surface , the ceramic coating is then applied on top of the Xpel .Otherwise it could lead to faulty adhesion. It´s the same process to apply the ceramic coating only , the rule of thumb it to have a perfect and cleaned surface to the correct bonding"

It's obvious that I got a bit mixed up with the procedures and that's what happens when you cultivate the paradigma of pretending to be a professional within the amateurs but ending up being and amateur near the professionals.

Hey I just traded my 458 Spider for new F12 I had ordered all I can say is you don't want to waste time waiting around when you can be driving an F12 beast

You will appreciate the difference life is short just do it.
