A lot of betting slips in Nevada in the trash this morning. Blackhawks were # 2 odds for most of season and just prior to playoffs (behind Caps)

 

Any idea the odds for Nashville to sweep?

Tamas...you mean run the table in the next three series without losing a game? That would be a prop bet you can probably get at the Westgate/Hilton. Preds are now 11-2 to win the cup (4th favorite)

 

My only action is a Caps ticket I bought at Xmas at 8-1.

We'll see, but I expect Washington to play with more urgency from here on. Toronto did them a favor making things as difficult as they did.

Wish I could predict a Pens victory, but who knows?

You're not the only guy thinking this. Fleury has shown signs of weakness...his durability? Holtby has been a rock. I thought Toronto was a great team to watch and look out next year.

Agree. That Leafs Caps series was by far the most entertaining series in round 1

 

I like Ottawa to upset Broons in 7...I think Oilers will push Ducks to six games. Preds continue hot streak...win in 5. Will Caps gag again? I don't think so. Lokk for them to put up 4 and 5 goals every game and beat Pens in 6

Mike and Neal. I think our local play by play guy (and Mass. native) John Forslund will be doing one of the series (probably Blues). We are lucky to have him calling the Canes games here in Raleigh. I think after Screamin Mike Emerick and Kenny Albert, John is the # 3 NBC guy. Now that Leafs are playing golf, I think Preds might be most entertaining team (and fans) to watch. For the series though, can't beat Caps-Pens. For you oldtimers: "Let's Go Pronovost!"

It's simply amazing that the DRONE (Pierre McGuire) lets Mike Emrick speak. I do enjoy Emrick due to his play by play call and his extreme enthusiasm for the game.

On another note, regarding the Ottawa-NYR matchup, I see the Rangers as faster, rolling four darned good lines, a tad more rested (because of the 4 good lines), and Lundquist (sp?). However, Ottawa owns home ice. I wonder how rested and healthy defenseman Karlson is...

 

He adds a lot that not that many others do.
If you ask me, there's a good reason others don't add as much.
