    Funny, I don't really like the 355 wheels but love the 348 wheels. I love Challenge wheels though. To me, 355 wheels are a bit bland...

    No, They are the perfect size and many run them on their challenge cars as well. Here are my road car and challenge car with 295 rears and 235 fronts.

    Mine is also debadged, came that way from the previous owner. I love the white color of your car! I was probably going to run 295 in the rear, 245 in the front. I was thinking of getting Michelin Super Sport tires, but I am open to suggestions. What type of tire do you run?

    Stock 348 wheels are 17", while 348/355 CH wheels are 18".

    Again, I'm well aware of that.

    Tell me how "the originals" in the statement above is in reference to 348 wheels when the new aluminum challenge wheels are lighter than 348 wheels.

    Maybe I'm crazy but when someone says the new wheels may be slightly heavier than the originals I take that to mean the new challenge wheels are heavier than the original challenge wheels as this is the thread topic and the only way that statement makes sense.

    For the 348 crowd, what's the weight of the GTC 17" split rims? I assume they are heavier than the challenge wheel and don't allow a big brake (with lighter calipers)?

    Brent says they're heavier than stock 355 wheels. But damn... they're the most perfect street wheels for the 348.

    Have a look at the Nitto NT05s. IMO they're about the best bang-for-the-buck full street tire for track use so obviously they're a good choice for road use as well. The 245 is only slightly larger than the 235 so I went with the 245s for my aftermarket wheels, although that may not have been the best choice since my wheels are wider than Challenge wheels. Not sure which size I'd choose for street use on Challenge wheels... probably 235s because they're a proven choice.

    I had 245s on the front years ago....Too tall compared to oem.

    The 245 NT05 is .16" taller than the 235 and .08" wider, so not a lot of difference. I agree that the 235 makes more sense though.

    I'd hoped to lower the car a bit but not lose as much ground clearance by fitting the largest tires possible. After test fitting my front wheels I'm not so sure that's gonna work due to the extra width, but not certain since the tires aren't mounted yet.

    OP, if you decide on 245 NT05s we might can make a deal.

    Can't stand the GTC wheels. Worst wheels outside of the nastiness installed on the F512M.

    Just curious if anyone has considered Dymag, which is a hybrid carbon fiber wheel.

    Dymag | THE DYMAG® BOXSTROM®  is here...

    I put a pair of Dymag CF wheels on my Ducati SuperLight and the savings in moving mass weight has completely transformed the handling of the bike. I'd expect similar results for a car.

    Yes I misspoke when I said 245. Looked back at the tires I had in my cart on tire rack and
    they are Michelin Super Sport 235/40/18 and 295/35/18
