    Nice watches, gents.

I have a spaceship or a vampire from the 1950s on my wrist today. Still getting used to it, as I am normally a stainless chrono kinda guy.

I like it. Not a fan of the red strap, but I'm not wearing it either. :)

Failed miserably this morning at Tourneau San Francisco so I'm stuck slumming wearing an Explorer II with Alcatraz in the misty background.

(note to self: NEVER take a tour with San Francisco Helicopters again. The pilot had as much personality as a potted plant and they shouldn't have flown due to POOR visibility. $500 for two of us for 25 minutes of sh#t).

Sorry to hear. $500 could get you a nice weekend beater Seiko or some better local wine.

Helicopters, unless they are gunships are not that much fun. Maybe BART will get some choppers to chase after hoodlum teenagers who attack train passengers, as if it were a lawless third world dystopia. Then again, certain parts of Oakland are not that far off.

So Tourneau would not negotiate? You should see my friend Paul Seregin on Mason or there are a few other places. Did you hit the Tourbillion boutique on Post? They have a Breguet La Tradition in white gold with my name on it. They are also not being reasonable with the number of zeros in the price. Since this is San Francisco I could sue them to sell it to me for the price that I CAN afford. Horological equality!

I did go into Sergin's and was impressed with his inventory, but was very rushed and couldn't quite process the possibilities.
Tourneau had one watch I was interested in, a Heritage Longines Chrono with a red bezel. I'll find it elsewhere and get one. They got too busy and I couldn't wait any longer. I have never seen a Tourbillion and would have loved to see some Breguets as one is on my must have list.

Will have my Heuer Autavia on Monday so pretty excited about that.

There is also Shreve and their new 2 story showroom with a huge Patek and JLC selection. All 4 shops (Shreve, Tournau, Seregin's, and Tourbillion) are withing a 10 minute walk of each other. It is really bad when the security gurards start to recognize you at some of these stores.

Shreve & Co. | San Francisco

PS. I like the Longines Heritage line. I have been looking at the single pusher chrono myself. Trouble is....anytime I get a heritage watch...I want the original issue.
