Imported a 1981 308 GTSi into California from out of state & im trying to re-connect the smog emissions system. I have the smog pump & looks like some of the emissions hoses are all there except for the hose from the smog pump to where it connects.

Need help or photos of where the hose from the smog pump connects & what it connects to?

Eurospares has a diagram for the 1980 GTB for what they call a AUS version "air pump and pipings" that shows the hose coming off of the air pump going to the diverter valve.

I found another drawing last time but I can't seem to locate it again. If I do I'll get back and post again.

I believe this is for the carb 308 do you know if it's the same set up for the injected 308. I have seen this diagram but wasn't sure. I have already obtained the smog pump and mounting bracket. I looked for the diverted valve for my car on some of the Ferrari parts vendors but nobody list it. They do for 80 and older

No, that SPC figure is for the US 308i-2V (the US carb air injection system does not have the EGR system - pipes 77 - so uses a different diverter valve). Your OM also has some pretty decent figures and technical information for your air injection system in Section 3.

This is the correct diagram as I just replaced all three check valves, hoses and repaired the bracket that mounts to the diverter valve.

Thanks for the great info, so located the two lines that go to the engine block, the lines have screw on caps so it will be an easy fix.

now I need help locating the line where the 3rd check valve is located. My OM is incomplete missing lots of pages

The third check valve comes from the joining of two tubes coming from the cats. The tubes are welded together into one threaded piece to which the check valve attaches IIRC.

The diverter valve is attached to a bracket that bolts to the clutch housing case studs. Pictures are very hard to get of this area and the diagram is very accurate. Look at the nut and stud right above the item number '67' in the diagram. Somewhere in that area.

David great picture Thanks. The diagram shows the diverter valve is connected to a solinoid valve. Do you have any picks of where the electrical connection to the solinoid valve is located in the engine bay?

There should be a nipple on the diverter valve that has a vacuum line that goes over to the solenoid valve.

Good luck with the emissions test! I'm not sure how mine passed with two of the check valves rotted open but what the hell......

Thanks I don't see the 3rd location for the 3rd check valve. My pipes don't have the two little pipes connecting to one. I did find a pipe from just before the passenger side cat that goes to a vacuumed valve the pipe then goes to the intake just past the fuel distributor. I think the valve is an EGR valve

77 and 27 on the diagram. I went into the garage to try and get a picture but I can't get to it. Sorry. Are the cats original?

I think so they each have a nut on the side with a cable or wire attached to it. The cable / wire hours under the drivers side and up into somewhere into the firewall

I checked the 1980 GTB and it shows a since valve part number 100564. I checked the date on my car and it was built 11/1980

The check valve is the 100564. Also sounds like you are describing the O2 sensors on the cats if you see wires going into the firewall. Can you post pictures of what you are seeing?

Not sure but it looks like maybe the cats are modified. I'm going to plug the 3rd outlet on the diverter valve and see how it goes at the smog station
